Hi Dani, well I have had the book about 30 minutes and I am delighted with it for two reasons. 1 as the parent of two sons with ADHD amongst other things I have watched sometimes helplessly as they have struggled to get on in life. They are a bit older than you, life has not been easy for them but they keep going and have moments of real success and achievement which is a joy to see, as well as those other bits. 2 I am a Cognitive Behaviour Therapist and have been helping clients create a tool box grid using some of the techniques you have outlined in your book because what works one day might not work the next!!! I can see parents using this and adapting it with youngers as well as young and older adults benefitting from it. I am very pleased to be able to add your book to my list of resources to point clients at and to utilise in their
therapy. It is inspired and will be recommending it to fellow professionals to take a look at as well. Thank you. Jane

I bought one for me and one for my son. I just finished flipping through it, just getting familiar with it, and already it feels like a lot of it was written specifically to tackle MY issues! So much makes sense, the activities make sense, and I love that it tells WHY these tips and tricks can work. It makes me want to get started, gives me hope. Thank you for writing this!
Diana (verified owner) –
This resource is amazing. Very well put together and imagined, refreshingly realistic and down to earth ideas.

This has been so, so, so helpful in moving through anxiety to get the little and big stuff done. I love the humor, compassion and activities. The Anti Planner is amazing!!
Jaidyn –
AHH FIVE GOLD STARS. I knew this book would be helpful to me from reviews. But once I actually got it and was able to see everything it’s SOOO much more than I ever imagined.
I feel so understood and less alone.
It’s so much less isolating and beautiful here ❤️❤️ Thank you Dani for getting it

After a nasty brain injury I became disabled in many ways. I needed a lot of therapy but none of the therapy included learning how to manage time, get tasks done or help me deal with a huge lack of motivation or the inability to plan the simplest tasks without help. This book was a last ditch attempt to reclaim my life. Well it’s working! It’s given my hope once again. It’s given me the tools I need to succeed in ways no therapist could. I recommend it to anyone with TBI who can use a practical self help book with results. I am optimistic again about my future.

I bought the original Anti-Planner and loved everything about it–the variety of strategies, the thoughtful and encouraging language, and the gorgeous design. I received my copy during the summer, and planned to share the strategies with my middle school students when I came back to teach in the Fall. When I saw there was a clean version, I bought that one too so I could just have the book itself in the classroom!
It finally arrived and it was so worth the wait! I put the book out on the shelf a few days ago, and the students naturally gravitated to it. I think one of them is even going to ask his parents to buy him a copy for himself. Thank you Dani for inspiring my students!

I LOVE this resource! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who was diagnosed with ADHD later in life. As I work to help myself and my clients learn to live and cope with our ADHD, I have found many resources; this is one of the best! This book is relatable and easy to use. In the first two weeks of having the Anti-planner, I have recommended it to multiple clients and colleagues. Thank you for the valuable information with such a creative presentation.

I ordered the original Anti-Planner and sent one to my son also. When the “clean” version came out, I ordered that too and will send my first book on to a younger friend. I really enjoy the creative ideas in this book and the ideas make it fun to try to do the things that I don’t want to do. The more I can make life into a game, the more enjoyable it is. I know this book will be very helpful to me over many years and I’m thankful that I found out about it, so I could get my own copies.

I love this book! It’s got great ideas to help break my procrastination mental block and help me choose how to organize and prioritize. And some of them are kind of fun, even though I know I’m doing it to get “work” done. The different suggestions have been really helpful so far.

First of all, I love the way this books feels. The soft cover. The shiny illustrations on it. The size and weight that allows me to hug it comfortably (sometimes I find doing that to be oddly reassuring). The high quality of the paper stock and the colour printing. The nice, fresh smell of the pages.
I love the cute illustrations. I love how casual Dani is when she wrote this, like she is talking directly to us.
To be honest, I haven’t done a lot of the exercises in the book. That’s because when I am feeling any of the things mentioned in it, often I just have to open it to that section and read a few pages and I’d feel more motivated already. I have spent years and years looking for ways to fight my procrastination, and I suddenly realised maybe it’s not another new method that I am looking for. Maybe I already have a lot of tools, I just didn’t have the strength to use them. And strangely this book seems to give me that. I think it’s just how Dani gets it. When the book is there I feel like there is a friend who actually understands the struggles I am going through, who won’t judge me on my issues, and who would always encourage me to keep going. That means a lot to me.
I am definitely not saying the exercises aren’t helpful! I think I might take some of them and modify them to fit me better. I definitely think they will help a lot of people. I guess I just want to say that for me, this book carries a kind of magic that goes beyond the content! Dani, I hope you are reading this and feeling proud of your work 🙂

Earlier this year I was genuinely on the verge of burnout, or perhaps actually was burnt out. I had inklings that I had adhd for a while, but I didn’t actually get diagnosed until about 2 years ago. I feel like I’ve struggled with procrastination and perfectionism and the anxiety from those for a long time. Measuring my worth by my productivity is something I’ve unconsciously done for a long time without even realizing it. When I was feeling so down, I ended up going down a bit of a rabbit hole trying to actually understand more about adhd and trying to work with my brain instead of fighting it. This book was something that came up when I was looking into everything and I immediately ordered one. It just arrived last week and I honestly have never felt more validated and understood in my life. I’ve already been able to incorporate some of the ideas from this book into my life and I really do feel like this book will be a tool I will turn to many times in the future. Every time I pick it up I feel like I learn something new and it is just such an amazing resource that is very thoughtfully put together, and the best part is that it doesn’t have the typical productivity bs that you likely have heard many times before. Everyone I have shown it to thus far has wanted one for themselves too! I highly recommend giving this a try!
Jennifer H (verified owner) –
Omg this is such a blessing. My adhd has been on 1000 since working and starting nursing school! One of the reason I love this is because I start an exercise without finishing and don’t feel bad bc I always remember Dani saying no commitment is ok! My ONLY problem is that I have a hard time reading the directions????????♀️???? I RecentlY DiscovereD ThiS CooL WaY FoR PeoplE WitH ADHD To ReaD AnD IT TrulY WorkS FoR Me. Listen, I need you to know how incredible this book is…
I’m in my 40s. I’ve known about my ADHD since I was 10. School and employment have always been tough, but I’ve had a stable job for ~16 years or so. I’ve been struggling more than ever with productivity and motivation (both work & personal) since before COVID, and it’s only ever gotten worse. In fact, I should be working right now, but I digress…
I picked up this book and started reading at the shoutouts before pg1. By the time I got through the Table of Contents, I had already gotten choked up and teary no less than 6 times. Zero hyperbole. Never in my life, have I ever felt so thoroughly and unquestionably UNDERSTOOD.
Dani gets it. She knows how this goes. She preemptively calls us out on our BS. She actively overcomes the objections she knows we will have. She has poured her heart and soul into this book, for the benefit of all of us, neurodiverse and neurotypicals alike, and the effort has certainly not gone unnoticed. This whole thing is so unrelentingly and unapologetically thoughtful. I tear up almost every time I read even a fraction of it. I get motivated by just reading through this. I’ve gotten more work done in the past 2 days than I have in the past few weeks…
I guess I don’t have a real conclusion lined up for this. And I realize (and hope you do too) that not everybody will get so emotional from this book – I’ve been particularly sensitive lately for some reason. But if you suffer from procrastination, executive dysfunction, or perfectionism, and/or if you’re feeling lost, stuck, overwhelmed, unmotivated, alone… this book may just help you get your spark back, and I’d say it’s got a much better chance than most.
Now that I feel like I’ve greatly (and quite typically) overshared, I almost deleted all of this. But I think I’ll let it stay. Maybe it will speak to someone else out there who really could use a lifeline right now.
Annie (verified owner) –
This book is AMAZING!!! I’ve been creating systems/games for productivity my whole life and I can’t wait to add all of these to the rotation. The quality of the book itself great, and the amount of time & effort put into this book is well worth the $50. Can’t wait to get started!

Received the book just in time for summer. I’m very excited to have it now since I’m also in therapy. Ms. Donavan compiled a high quality resource guide I fully intend to expand upon as my sessions continue. Previously I would read and compile the resources into a word doc before abandoning it. Now I have a physical resource I’m more inclined to retain and refer back to. The activation energy I needed. Each “unit” and subsection has a brief intro page with Ms. Donovan’s relatable experiences, area for reframing/thought, and applicable resources. It is a very easy read. More templates would have been appreciated, but nothing a photo copier can’t fix. I spent two days marking the book and adding post-it’s to the exercises that feel most compatible to me. So far, there have been positive changes in my work and personal life. I would highly recommend the “Anti-Planner” to folks with or without ADHD. It’a a great stepping stone.
Other notes: It is indeed left-handed friendly. When the book is flipped 360 degrees the spine extends upward about 2-3 stacked quarters. The spine rings are thick enough and placed close enough they don’t bite too terribly into the palm or the wrist. Very possible to have neat/legible handwriting along the left margin.
It has a thick hardcover (similar to the old high school hardcover textbooks). I suspect the gold graphics on the cover is embossed so it should withstand 2-3 years of heavy abuse before fading/chipping away. The tabs for each “unit” or “section” is spaced well enough for chunky fingers to grab a hold of and flip through. There was some resistance when trying to flip the tabs rapidly, but I haven’t had it long enough to see if the rings will tear along the hole punches. Each page is made of thick high quality paper. Not at all like the copy papers from Costco or Staples.

Just got this yesterday, one for me, one for each of my daughters, a gift from my amazing wife. Everything I’ve seen resonates with all the work I’ve been doing, and I appreciate the reminders of that and the tools for moving forward when I’m stuck. Can’t wait to wipe my greasy pizza fingers on it.
B (verified owner) –
My only complaint is I wish this came with a giant stack of blank pages and templates so I can do the activities over and over (nothing a notebook can’t fix). This was well worth the wait and the pre-order, and both my partner and I are already using it to help “troubleshoot” the cycles we get stuck in with our ADHD and to guide ourselves out when our executive function just isn’t good enough to figure things out on our own. I love it, i love that it exists, and while not every exercise will work for each of us, there are so many options to flip through (and guiding prompts to help filter!) that there’s always something to try
In time we might pick up a second copy so we can each have one but for now it’s going to live in the office with a blank notebook next to it so we can both find and use it as we need
Whitney T –
Just got the Anti-Planner. No joke, I read the beginning and started to tear up. I already know this is a godsend for me.
I have tried some of the activities and skills and it’s worked amazing for me so far! Obviously not every single thing will work for me but that’s what the books for. If you struggle to get things done, I HIGHLY recommend you think about getting this book. It may be expensive to a broke student (like me :’> ) but it is SO worth it.
Thank you Dani for creating this book. I will be forever grateful <3

This is a lifesaver! I love it so much that I ordered another one for my mom, who struggles with many of the same things I do. I love how it’s divided up by feeling, and the casual irreverence of the language makes it feel less intimidating to use. Now if only I could actually remember to pull it out of my work bag more often…
Julia (verified owner) –
I got my Anti-Planner yesterday and love it already! It’s helped me work through some roadblocks I’ve had about getting back into a healthy routine. My parents are also looking to purchase their own now that they’ve seen mine!
Charlene Rose –
Received this as a gift and have absolutely loved it. The worksheets are extremely helpful and engaging, which is very hard to find. The book is a perfect demonstration of how to create for the ADHD brain. From the color pallet to the footnotes, everything is tailor made to make my brain a little more streamlined.
The author clearly knows her audience, as evidenced by the absolute spot on accusations she makes of the reader (like the anxiety of messing up a page and the unwillingness I feel about tearing something out or writing directly in the book). While I have a moment of feeling absolutely called out, it’s immediately replaced by feeling seen and understood.
This is a must have for the ADHDer in your life.
Pamela Eaton –
Fun pictures, fun activities to do that can help you get things done. Multiple ways to do things so if one method doesn’t work you can scrap it and try and different one. Everyone is different so there’s something for everyone. No square pegs and square holes only here. Every exersize does something different. Some I had heard of before. Most I had never imagined. Very well put together. Good paper and good solid construction too!
Gaby Logan Schleining (verified owner) –
This is such an enormously helpful book! I feel like this book read my mind on all the reasons why I don’t get things done. Easily the best purchase I’ve made in a long time. I will use this for the rest of my life!

I can’t wait to dive in. I have no voice presently but I literally whisper-screamed when I saw this arrived! Then I did a little happy dance. Don’t think I’ve done an honest happy dance for years now. So fingers crossed!! (I’ll likely come back in a dozen or so years to update review as I get through the book.)

Hi Dani! I got my anti-planner yesterday and LOVE IT and have already busted through 2 sets of tasks I’ve been avoiding thanks to the timer exercise! I wanted to give you some feedback that unfortunately mine came with a noticeable unpleasant odor that makes it impossible to keep in the office while I work.. maybe due to the printing process or ink? I am also 13 weeks pregnant so definitely still have a bloodhound nose and was always sensitive to smells (like many of us with ADHD). Going to let it air out outside maybe but please let me know if you have suggestions or maybe I just got a bad book! Congrats on the release and THANK YOU for such an amazing resource!!!!
Rachel Straker (verified owner) –
This is like the Swiss army knife of procrastination-busting strategy guides and will provide support and solutions for whatever is standing in the way of you getting the “thing” done!
The best thing… it never runs out! You only have to buy it once and its contents will serve you forever. Well worth the money!
What I love the most is the way it’s laid out. You don’t need to read the whole thing before you know what strategy to try, you just need to know how you are feeling about the “thing” you’re trying to get done and jump straight to that section for relevant solutions.
There’s sections for if you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disorganised, unmotivated or discouraged and within those sections you’ll find suggested solutions based on the main drivers of that feeling. For example, the “overwhelmed” section has sub-sections for if you feel “intimidated”, “over-committed”, “panicked” and “burnt-out”.
There’s also a bonus section at the end that has a list of further helpful resources which are laid out in the same way as the other sections in the guide, by how you are feeling!
It’s comprehensive without being overly complex and is so easy to use and filled with relatable advice from Dani. Finally, and most importantly, this is for anyone who struggles with procrastination, not just those with adhd!

My copy of The Anti-Planner arrived today. Wow. I have SO MUCH sh*t that needs to be done, and am not getting it done. I am extremely good at plans, planners, calendars, analysis, and the whole range of conventional Planner tools & skills… and The Anti-Planner takes a whole different approach. VERY STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!!
Don Young (verified owner) –
Wow! This book is so good. It feels like it was written specifically to address all of my biggest personal challenges. And does it in a way that keeps those challenges in mind. It is visually appealing, bite size exercises that are organized in a manner that you can quickly find what you need in your context. The writing style makes it feel like you have a great friend sitting with you just trying to help you out without judgement. It’s also really funny…both the writing and the cartoons. Well worth the wait. I love this book. Absolutely astounding job on this, Dani!
Vanessa Marzetz (verified owner) –
This book is really good, so well done, with lots of details. You can see how much work and passion Dani put in it!
What I especially like is the examples and “side-notes” in brackets. It is like the book comes to life and becomes my friend to help me out, understand me and is kind to me, even though I am not kind to myself.
I am in the finishing phase of my PhD (and all these feelings alternate over time, sometimes within a day) and this book as a resources helps me to structure my work, stay focused, and I am less likely to procrastinate.
Highly recommend it for everyone, especially academics!
Dani Croaker (verified owner) –
This is BRILLIANT! Even in my most cynical, deflated unmotivated state I have found something to help me. I am recommending this to all the ADHD-ers I know!!
Clare Turner (verified owner) –
After finally getting diagnosed with Autism in 2020 and ADHD in 2021 I tried various things to help but your book is a game changer. It explains in a way I understand that works as you have been there too. I love it and race about it to everyone having the same issues ????
Tara (verified owner) –
This book is honestly changing my life. I cried the first time I read through it. Soooo appreciative of this resource and the clearly very hard work Dani did!
Peggy (verified owner) –
I am so grateful to have this resource. I keep it with my work stuff and it’s helped me so much to flip through a section when I get stuck, or am overwhelmed or am just not doing what I need to do. Dani’s cartoons are fun and the content is well researched and spot on. I’m not diagnosed as ADHD but I have a lot of trouble with attention and focus and this book is helping me keep pace with my coworkers. I’m so grateful I have this and I highly recommend it to anyone who struggles to get their stuff done.
Matthew (verified owner) –
For a long time, I’ve been meaning to make a little cheat sheet of different methods I know to deal with various difficulties I encounter. This book is that list, on steroids, and much more, crafted with Dani’s signature combination of care, creativity, knowledge, realism, and optimism. You don’t have to sit down and read a bunch to start to use it. It’s designed to be used in the moment of struggle, whatever that struggle may be, to help you find just the kind of exercise or activity you need. I’ve used it several times in the first week, for both myself and my daughter, to great effect. I’m gobsmacked by what you’ve created here, Dani, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Thank you!
D.S. –
EVERY FREELANCER SHOULD HAVE A COPY OF THIS. Sorry for shouting but it’s TRUE.
AnW (verified owner) –
Worth the wait! The book is beautiful, nice thick pages, the large wire binding makes it easy to flip to the activity you want without bending the pages, getting stuck or falling out.
The layout is easy to follow and most of the font is a good size with good contrast, there are some pages with a smaller, finer font that could be a challenge to someone with visual impairments.
There is great advice, motivation and humor on every page which are also covered in amazing artwork. As I’ve flipped through the book I’ve had a million “exactly” moments where Dani has presented an all too true and too common issue, comment, feeling or challenge that I’ve personally experienced and her activities, words of wisdom and personal truths make me feel “heard”. Having the book and knowing that it sold out kind of makes me feel like I’m part of a secret nerodivergent club of people who “get it”.
Thank you Dani for all the hard work, heart and soul you put into this book for us. You rock!
Sean Walker (verified owner) –
This is a great resource and is so helpful! I had also forgotten about ordering it and it’s been awesome!
Samantha Kelley (verified owner) –
Absolutely fantastic book of help with getting things to my Done column and not feeling crappy about it. Lovely art and motivation sprinkled through the book with bright colors and handy tasks. It’s beautifully bound with great quality of paper and cover, even a place to slot my pen in. It looks good sitting out on my table to remind me that I can do it.
Only tiny thing is that the “Stuck” first category has the tab partway through the chapter instead of at the beginning like the others. Drives me a bit mad but I’ll get over it!
Julia (verified owner) –
This is AMAZING!! I work with college students, mainly those that have ADHD, on study strategies/time management/etc. and this book is a gold mine of resources and strategies that are going to help students SO much! I also have ADHD and am very excited to use the book as a personal resource as well 🙂
Natalie –
I pre-ordered this awhile ago for myself and my daughter who both struggle with ADHD. The exercises are useful and non-judgemental, without the whole “just do it” vibe that most planners give off. Designed for those of us who often get in our own way of getting things done or getting through things. Highly recommend!
allison (verified owner) –
i’ll admit, in classic adhd fashion, i had forgotten about pre-ordering this and when it came it had been long enough that i wasn’t super excited about it anymore lolol. HOWEVER, upon actually opening it and doing the activities, i got stoked all over again. it’s so fun and engaging, and the activities make me feel like someone understands exactly how my brain works which is just sooo affirming ????
to dani, thank you so much for all of the energy and labor you put into this ????
to everyone wondering if it’s worth it, it is. get it.

I came upon the Anti-Planner because of a Youtuber’s review. I bought it immediately for someone close to me as a Holiday gift. They loved it and have been using it since it arrived. It is a little bigger than expected, but it did not disappoint. The exercises, tips, and recommendations are genuinely made to address the needs of those of us that struggle daily to survive and keep up with responsibilities. English is our second language yet the book is written in English simple enough to follow. I’m going to buy more copies from the pre-order for myself and for other people in my life that are either neurodivergent and/or suffer from anxiety and depression. If this book was in Spanish I would definitely recommend it to more people closer to me.
Mya R (verified owner) –
This is so exciting! I completely forgot that I pre-ordered this and it was truly a lovely surprise. I texted family and friends asking who got it for me ????????♀️ I love it!

Just received my book and I ripped it open immediately! It is absolutely gorgeous–I love the illustrations, the mantras/inspiration sprinkled throughout, and it is all so relevant and ORGANIZED! A breeze to find just the activity page I need at the moment, and a pleasure to flip through–chock full of fun ideas. Best ADHD self-help book (workbook?) hands down!
Kaleb (verified owner) –
So excited and I just can’t hide it! I picked up my book yesterday from the post office on my way to work. I immediately opened it and started showing it off to a coworker. I’m really looking forward to going through it more and continue to recommend to others.
Fernanda (verified owner) –
my book just arrived and it’s incredible!
I don’t have much to say other than what has already been said in other comments, I just wanted to thank Dani Donovan and everyone who participated in the production of this book. You guys did an amazing job!
Katie –
If you think this book will help you or someone you love even a little bit, buy this book. I have been showing it to everyone with eyes and they have all been so impressed (including my therapist) with the density of helpful information. This book made me realize that I wasn’t alone. That I didn’t have to fight so hard. BUY THIS BOOK. Not that you need my permission, but you are allowed to ask for help. BUY. THIS. BOOK.

My Anti-Planner arrived yesterday and I am smitten!! I wish the second round would be available sooner so I could recommend my students buy one for us to use for class this semester. I’m telling everyone about it anyway!
Alexander Wright –
Just what I needed! I bought this for Christmas for myself, and I have never been more pleased with a gift. Ok, almost never.
The artwork is amazing and the guidance will be with me always.
The ring binder format is perfect, and allows you to fold the book in half so it take up less space. I love it. Thank you Dani. xxx
Cullen Zanone –
Finally revived my ADHD Planner in the mail today. I am so happy. This was a birthday present. My birthday happens to be in July. I will love this item forever and ever. Thank you Dani Donovan. When I get my own bookcase, this ADHD Planner will be on an easel on the top shelf. Thanks again Dani. God Bless.
Lizzy (verified owner) –
I absolutely love this book, I am so excited to use this and be able to help my brain out a bit more in times of need. I did not expect it to be as big as it was and that just made me even more excited. My only worry is that I’m going to rip the tabs on accident! Paper tabs always worry me because they always tend to get ruined, luckily tape exists. Other than that I positivley love it and cannot wait to try out some of the activities!
Samantha (verified owner) –
I have been struggling with getting stuff done and having a hard time focusing (more so than normal). This book arrived right on time. I’ve never felt so understood before especially by a book. The different ways to do things make tasks fun. If something doesn’t work, I jump to the next task. I feel so much better knowing I have this as an essential tool in my toolbox.
MK Arch (verified owner) –
This is incredible. I have never ever felt so seen and validated by a book. I have always been ashamed of my inability to make my brain do the thing. This book flips that on its head. I am excited to put these strategies into practice.
Jac (verified owner) –
This book is amazing. It has SO many different exercises that whatever is happening I can find something to match. What I love is that they break down into specific overall categories and sub categories so you can clearly head to what you need. I cannot recommend this enough.
Jessie –
I thought the price was kinda high, but I was desperate & thought this sounded like it would actually be helpful. This book turned out to be worth the cost just by the quality alone, and the content goes above and beyond my expectations. It’s massive so I’ll (hopefully) never lose it, it feels amazing in my hands (sensory issues are unbothered!), and the information & activities inside are encouraging, inspiring, & helpful for my adhd brain without giving dumb advice or being cliche. It’s un-intimidating and user-friendly, and I’m glad this is out there for adults who struggle with getting sh*t done.
Cat (verified owner) –
This book is AMAZING!! I cannot stop picking it up and just browsing the sections… it’s so big that I literally seem to see something new every time! There is SO much in here, explanations, advice, ideas, excellent examples, drawings/comics – and all organized and easy to navigate. Dani’s intros to every section are written like I am just getting together with a really great friend who just GETS me, knows how my brain works, and wants me to know everything is going to be okay 🙂
Thank you so much for this book!! It is officially my favorite ADHD toolbox <3 <3
Sandi (verified owner) –
Love this! So creative and practical and fun. Such a great tool for getting in-stuck in a low stress way.
Steve (verified owner) –
Superb!
Dani describes ways to deal with perfectionism in the book, but the end result looks pretty perfectionistic to me! The whole book is well designed and excellent quality — it feels good, smells good, looks good, and sounds good as you flip the pages. (I didn’t taste it and don’t recommend that either.) Oh, the content and drawings are great too!
Thanks Dani!
Ellysa –
I pre-ordered with hope that this would be a little bit better than the other 10+ planners I’ve tried and failed at keeping up with. WOW was I wrong! Event the word “planner” being in the title doesn’t do this book justice. It’s not a planner at all. It’s an extremely specific, thorough, easy-to-do guide to dealing with the feelings that procrastination tries to hide. I’ve already been able to work through emotions that try to block me from doing certain tasks. This is the ONLY thing that has ever helped me overcome those barriers.
I love how it starts by identifying the big emotion (Stuck, Disorganized, Discouraged, etc) and then breaks it down into more specific sub-emotions to find the excercise that would work best in that instance. I also like how there are suggestions of other pages from different sections you might like based on that emotion. As an AUdhder, it can be difficult to narrow down on what my emotions actually are, so these links to different sections in the book can help me find what actually will help in that moment.
I hope one day there can be a companion PDF of the worksheets that I can import into GoodNotes or print out so I can keep filling in those pages after I fill them up! For now, I’ll just be erasing which is fine, but would love to be able to order a companion pdf version.
Thank you Dani, and keep creating!!

I preorderd this with low expectations, I’ve struggled with planners and really anything tat helps structure my days. This book has blown my expectations out of the water. First of all, it’s huge, so much bigger than I ever expected, there’s so much helpful information in it. Secondly, the way the Anti-Planner works makes so much sense to my ADHD brain, it’s like dropdown menus that send you to several methods to help get yourself on your way with whatever “thing” you may be trying to work on. I’m so excited to implement some of the tips and tricks into my daily life. I highly recommend this for anyone who thinks they’ve tried everything to help manage their ADHD or any other struggles you may have getting organized.

I love the Anti-Planner!!! I got it about a week ago and it has been so helpful for so many things. Thanks Dani!!!!
Dan –
Just what I need. I was a bit worried that it would be another great but unread book lying in the bookshelf gathering dust… yes, I will clean anytime soon now.
But after starting reading, restlessly skipping a few pages, I found page 13: “How to use the Anti-Planner”. Reading that page made it clear to me that this is exactly what I need. And yes, It has already been helpful !!!
After just two days it has already helped my get some sh*t done !!!

It’s a beefy boi and I love it!
I expected a much smaller book, this beefy boi feels like it will survive with me whatever life throws at us. ????
Brenda –
Love, love, love it!!! I feel so seen.

Just go ahead and order it – It’s as or more amazing than you think! You know you love and identify with her work already – so what’s not to like about more and more helpful?!

This book just arrived today, and HOLY SCHMIP it’s freaking AMAZING!!!! I ordered three copies originally (one for me, one for my kids to share, and one for a friend), but I’m thinking it’s highly likely my kids won’t want to share it—and I may also need one for my classroom. Dani Donovan has knocked this ***out of the park.***
If you’re still on the fence, I only have one question: can you order from there? If not, you need to get down and move closer to your WiFi router.
Well done, Ms. Donovan! This book KICKS. ASS. (And thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!!)

i love it thanks so much! Lots of exercises remind me of the homework my adhd therapist gave me and I -of course- totally forgot about! Now i got an amazing ressource to go back to!

I expected a cute collection of useful tips. This is a thing of heft and weight and beauty, crammed with useful strategies.

I’ve only had it for a day and already love it soo much! It is beautifully made impressed by the overall look and nice written too, definitely worth the money

True to form, object permanence allowed this book’s arrival to be a surprise, and a welcome one. The pdfs were great, but this book in print is… everything. It’s my new “break glass in case of emergency” go to, and has already averted one adhd-fuelled meltdown in the 6 hours I’ve had it. The hard copy will live within reach until this (very sturdy, and thank you, spiral bound!!) spine gives way, and then some. From the moment I read the “your worth is not measured in productivity” / “you are not fucking lazy” in the intro, I knew I’d chosen the right thing for me and my journey. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

I just received my Anti-Planner today and WOW! The quality and attention to detail and design is incredible! Dani- we know it was a long and arduous journey to get these into our hands, your hard work was worth it!! I can’t wait to start using these strategies! 🙂

Our new “coffee table” book so we don’t lose it. No one in the family is neurotypical. Thanks to Dani’s insights and strategies we are learning to make friends with “the thing”. Looking forward to when the the exercises/practices are available as individual PDFs.

It’s amazing

Absolutely amazing – I love the anti planner so much!! I normally can’t focus enough to read books but this has my interest, it’s so well put together and satisfying to read and look at. I’m excited to try to get things done with the help of the anti planner and I’d definitely recommend!
Amanda –
I got my copy in the mail yesterday, and spent about half the day flipping through it, and the other half of the day finally knocking out a bunch of cleaning I’d been putting off! I’ve had it for less than 24 hours, and it’s already helping me – I’m so glad I preordered this last year, l can safely say it was worth the wait!!
Kathryn M. (verified owner) –
I received my Anti-Planner yesterday, and I’ve flipped through it a few times (plus I’ve used the previews I’ve been emailed) only to find I love it even more than I expected. I ADORE the notes about laziness and productivity being constructs and that they do not define our worth. EVERYONE needs that reminder, I think, but those of us who struggle with those things need it even more. It was worth the 13-month wait. I’d love to, in the future, have a digital version I could use on my iPad. I’ve imported the preview pages, but I’d love to have everything there for me to use and reuse as needed. 🙂

So cool. Bought as a present for my ADHD husband but I kind of want to use it instead 🙂
For real though, looking through it, I saw so many exercises that look like they were created specifically for him. So many unique and creative ways to get things done without adding to the guilt or negative self-talk. I also really like how it’s organized by mood – so he can access different tools based on what type of barrier is in the way.
And last but def not least, it’s beautiful! And feels very sturdy and well made. My only request is…. please make one for kids next????
Anti Planner –
Thank you so much Samira! A “family” version is in the works!
Kristen –
This!!! This is the anti planner the 4 people in my house who were late diagnosed with ADHD needed. Thank you Dani for *seeing* them and managing to follow through on creating a true gift for those whose brains work differently and who need to create their own ‘users manual’ ????????????????
CypherS –
One of useful books you did not know you needed.
That’s an impressive accomplishement for the author.
Mira –
Just got mine! Before it arrived, I was using the pages she sent weekly and they’ve been lifesavers. It’s well thought out and an absolute guilt-free assistant in your daily life. If you struggle with doing even the smallest things, this book can help and give you some direction.
Laura G (verified owner) –
So I didn’t realise I’d got this early, but thank goodness I did! Yes it took me a bit to actually open it, because, you know, adhd. But now I have it’s incredibly accessible and at a time when I’ve really been struggling it is really helping me to make small but impactful changes. It’s so obvious Dani knows their stuff, we knew that, but the spot on detail is so good, like I love it being nice paper to write on, not overwhelming in detail, easy to flick between sections…I could go on, but if you’re thinking of buying this but are worried it’ll fail like others before, I really would say it’s worth a try. Hope it keeps working, that’s often the worry, but it’s so much better than I was atm at least.

I am a successful project manager – have been for 20+ years. So I know how to get stuff done. Or should do. I also have an ADHD diagnosis. The pre-order perks have been really useful but the book has now arrived and it is amazing. Except I don’t want to spoil it with my scrawl. So I might need to buy another copy. And yes I know it says use erasable pens (which disappear completely if you put a book in the freezer – don’t ask me how i know that) but as much as a its a useful tool its also a work of art
Melanie Chandler –
OMG!!! I love this planner. Dani has made those tasks that seem so daunting seem more manageable and enjoyable. The games the illustrations help keep the mind focused on the tasks at hand. Not only are these useful for me personally but I can use these techniques within my department to motivate coworkers and processes.
Jen Aliff –
This book is amazing! So lucky to have gotten a sneak peek through my co-parent and find something I can use as a resource because planners have never done anything for me. It made me laugh, feel seen, and gives some amazing tips that actually help me do “the Thing.
doismellburning –
My Anti-Planner arrived and it is a thing of beauty. Opening with the essential reminder that *your worth is not measured in productivity*, it’s packed full of excellent tips and tricks, entertainment and insights – all beautifully laid out, illustrated, and assembled!

I have never felt so understood, this book is life-changing. The activities and advice inside is entertaining and sometimes a little bizarre, which is exactly the kind of approach I need to get things done. It does away with the usual productivity clichés (which I know I’ve tried so many times and never work!) as well as no guilt or judgement which is so refreshing. This is a rare gem of a book that is actually works and so I genuinely cannot recommend this enough!
Toby (verified owner) –
I got my copy today and, oh my god, what an incredible book. I’m not kidding, seeing ‘The Thing’ depicted as a cute little creature who needs me to get it to Done, as opposed to something that is painfully oppressing me – I think it was life-changing, actually. I’ve never been able to think of it that way before. And that, along with the ‘overwhelmed’ section, helped me to complete a really emotionally draining task that I’d been putting off for months.
I also have a manageable plan to do some cleaning tomorrow, using the amazing speed cleaning technique. I’m almost looking forward to it!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making this fantastic resource. I know it’s going to help so many people and I hope you’re incredibly proud of what you’ve achieved.
