I just got this today, spent a few minutes looking through it and immediately ordered 2 more – 1 for a friend with ADHD and 1 for my kid, who like his mom, has ADHD. The ideas and graphics are amazing! I am also a School Psychologist and there are wonderful ideas in here to help support students (would recommend the clean version for students LOL!) Thanks for making this wonderful tool! I feel so seen!!!

I was scammed too. I was confused by the quality as well. Now that I know, I will definitely be purchasing the original to support the author! Well done! I love it.

This book is AMAZING! I’m neurotypical and this book is still a saviour. Great resources, humour, a couple of profanities and colouring in pages, this really does have everything.
Great work Dani, thank you for creating such an amazing collection of great ideas, insight and resources to wander through when it’s needed the most.

HOLY CRAP. I bought a scam version off of an Instagram ad and it was a nightmare. The book itself was made out of cheap plastic, the paper was thin, the colours were weak, and it was very difficult to read because it was full of typos. So I found the original website (this website) and bought one to replace the scam. And it is BEYOND my expectations! The cover is solid and hardcover, the book is much thicker, and I can actually read it without having to translate through typos! I’m so happy that I decided to replace the scam version with the real version. Worth every dollar. Seriously.

This is awesome! I got the book a few weeks ago and did a flip through, marking my favorite pages with magnetic book marks to make them easy to find later. I am currently pulling an all nighter thanks to my own bullshit, but having the pages from Dani is making it much more tolerable! I made a copy of the ‘cleaning by numbers’ page and assigned a color to each of the 6 areas I need to focus on tonight and have been coloring in one box each time I complete a task! It’s really helping me break stuff down into manageable steps and keeping my brain awake and interested. I made sure to assign one of the colors to self-care so I get to color in a box when I get myself water, stretch, etc, in addition to doing my work 🙂 TBH, I am surprised by how well the coloring activity works for me. I didn’t expect to care that much about the dopamine boost of getting to color in a single box, but it’s working amazingly well.
I really appreciate the design of this book. So many ADHD books focus on setting your life up ‘perfectly’ and require a huge amount of executive function to complete (let alone maintain). This is a book that meets you were you are; quickly scan the tabs, decide what feeling is happening for you, then choose an activity – BOOM!

I F*CKED UP AND GOT A STOLEN COPY. Absolutely RIDDLED with typos and errors that made reading it genuinely difficult. Literally, on one page of the book “Schedule it” was written as “Scnecule if”. I thought this book just wasn’t edited at all but I see now that there are scammers stealing and reproducing the content. I’ll be buying a book from THIS site to support the creator and I’ll leave another review for that one! (I’m leaving the rating as 5 but this is a neutral review until I get the real thing).

Okay, so I’ve been struggling with ADHD and traditional planners for years. They’re just so… boring. But then I found this gem, The Anti-Planner.
Let me tell you, this book is a game-changer! It’s like a fun, interactive friend who actually understands what it’s like to have ADHD. The games, activities, and challenges make planning way more enjoyable than staring at a blank page. Plus, the illustrations and design are super cool.
I love how the author, Dani Donovan, is so relatable and supportive. It feels like she’s cheering me on every step of the way. The strategies in this book have helped me manage my procrastination, emotions, and time management in a way that actually works for me.
If you’re tired of traditional planners and want something that’s actually fun and helpful, The Anti-Planner is a must-have. Trust me, you won’t regret it!

I also fell for a scam site! It arrived today. I’m sitting here feeling horrible about having this fake anti-planner in my possession! There is no way I can continue using it! I had to immediately come to Dani’s site and buy directly from her. She deserves her money!!! Ugh. I hate these scammers and thieves!!!

I have only just placed my order, but I don’t even need to wait to review because this website says EVERYTHING. I almost got scammed by a Temu ad for this book and thought ‘I’ll just google it to see if I can get it on Amazon or somewhere in the UK’…..then found this site and felt so relieved that I didn’t waste my money on a counterfeit! I cannot wait to get this book, I feel like it was made *just* for me…which is probably how everyone else feels too. Thank you, Dani <3

I was looking for something that was similar to procrastinator planner back in the day. I enjoyed this.

As an Occupational Therapist with ADHD, I love your book!! Very on point, and gives me tools to add for my patients (and MYSELF). My daughter put this on my rocking chair for me to look at after I called a time out on a task that was important to both of us. It was a good call on her part, and your book was so engaging that I read it cover to cover. (Love your back page). THANK YOU for putting this out into the world. 100% recommend. 😊
Janet –
This is, by far, the greatest resource. I refer to it daily. I absolutely love everything about it from the graphics to the games. I shared it with my therapist and she, too, was impressed. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

I, too, fell for an Instagram ad that ended up leading me to purchase a counterfeit copy and not the real thing. I assumed it was the real thing. Mine arrived with typos, newspaper like paper, a very thin cardboard cover, etc. Came over to Dani’s website because I could not fathom that someone with ADHD would put out a book with typos…and then realized that this awesome artist whose content was going to be so useful didn’t get my money. Buying a copy directly from Dani now. Shame on the people running these ads!!!!

BEWARE!!! I. GOT. SCAMMED!! I was on Instagram one evening and came across an ad for this product. I was so excited to find this anti-planner that I ordered one for myself and one for a gift!! I just got them in the mail today and apparently they are some of the counterfeit copies out there. 🙁 They came in terrible shape, not hard-cover, and on thin, newspaper-like paper. From what I can tell, the content is the same, which is why I gave it 5 stars. It’s not Dani’s fault other people are misrepresenting her and substituting an inferior product, and if I were her I would be ticked (she would probably use more colorful language, however). I went on her site and saw the blurb about the counterfeit issue and that the only way to insure you’re getting her REAL product is to order through her website. So please be sure to do that! And then enjoy her amazing product!!

Just opened the box and this book kicks butt! It’s everything you imagine it could be from the videos and walk-throughs and more. It’s tactilely delicious besides being beautiful, functional, provocative, and created entirely of over-the-top quality materials. The book is organized the way someone who needs help getting shit done would know where to look. I haven’t had chance to dig in yet because I’m hip-deep in digital organizing, trying to get a project done that I procrastinated all summer. Oh wait, that’s page 132.
Christiane –
This book is a fantastic way to go try stuff that works for you. SOlutions out of the usual box for people that are helpless in the traditionnal ways! Love, love, love!
Chelsea –
I feel like this was made for me. As a high achieving person that found out in adulthood that I have adhd, it has been a struggle to learn to work with my brain instead of against it. I have been having a hard time and bought this book. I feel seen and I can feel so much of the shame I’ve put on myself coming to the surface and ready to be addressed. Thank you for making this. I have done many therapy tools and from what I’ve learned I think this book will be very help for me as I continue to use it.
John Dray –
Just got it.
WOW!
Obviously a lover of stationery – beautifully produced.
Every bit I have read so far gives me some of that elusive motivation.
Oregon Mama –
Paid for itself the very first time I cracked the cover. I’m a high school teacher with AuDHD/hsd/lipedema with a husband with AuDHD and hEDS, and a daughter (age 9) likely with the same hEDS/AuDHD and a 3 year old son. I’ve got health issues AND a LOT of shit going on in my head. I didn’t really know if I wanted to shell out the money for this, but knew I needed more support. I got the book earlier this week, opened it this morning. Spent less than 1 minute reading/scanning before settling on the “disorganized” chapter. Picked a technique, made a list of THIRTY SEVEN tasks I had in my head at one time, then tried the technique of “sort by action.” Felt like I could breathe once I did the technique, and in only ONE HOUR, I’ve already checked EIGHT items off my list. Incredible. Just buy it! SO helpful. Bought the clean version and hopeful I can use it to help my students get unstuck in the classroom this fall, too. Thank you, Dani!!! This is so very obviously a lifetime of fucking. hard. work. compiled into one book. I’m so grateful

My anti-planner was delivered today. I’ve read the introduction and already I feel like I’ve got the support I need, to get things done, that I struggle with in my head, (thanks ADHD). My house, family (single parent of three) life and mind are going to be so organised! Here’s to the next chapter (of the anti planner and my life!)

I only use this book when I’m really upset and stuck. It’s my “help me feel better” emergency protocol, basically, that hasn’t let me down. Because I only open this book when I’m frustrated and upset, I end up crying (in a good way) a lot. I often feel so lost due to my ADHD that having this book as a guide makes me feel such relief, to finally have something to follow when my brain can’t compute even basic things. The author’s anecdotes and personal worries and anxieties also make me cry, because it’s so relatable for me. The layout of the book is amazing, everything about the design is ADHD friendly. The tips in it have made the difference between me lying in a fetal position, thinking “I can’t do it…” and me actually finding the courage to start intimidating work/projects/chores, realize it’s actually doable with these strategies, and getting it done before I know it! Definitely buy this for yourself or someone you care about with ADHD who is struggling. I wish I had this when I was in highschool instead of being a walking dumpster fire of a student

Truly an excellent tool for task completion with adhd. Gives specific instructions so you don’t have to think and you can just do. Have and will continue to recommend this Anti-Planner to all my friends.

This book has been so helpful for me. I do not have ADHD, so at first I wasn’t sure if this would be something I could use. However, as someone who gets overwhelmed easily, this book has been a so helpful. I use it all the time and I recommend it to friends. Sure, some of the suggestions aren’t for me, but overall I just find it wonderfully helpful whenever I am stuck and just need to get something done.
Cassy –
All I can do right now is say – I’ve downloaded the 30 page digital planner and even though I haven’t started using it, just reading the pages made me relax. For ever journal I started, for every task in my house that completely overwhelms me – looking at these… I don’t even have words for how ready I am to basically hack my executive dysfunctional brain.
Saving now to by the whole thing!!
JP –
definitely worth the money. Just glancing through the pages of the book is like a warm hug from your best friend saying “You got this”. Every exercise my therapist has ever given me is in this book (and some new ones), but with relatable and easy to follow instructions (and easy instructions, like “I can do this!” instructions), awesome illustrations and funny quips. (and it lays completely flat, it’s awesomely designed and organized). Just go ahead and buy it, you won’t regret it.

This book made me cry happy tears. I have been struggling with ADHD for literal decades at this point. Endless unfinished planners, shame spirals, you name it. Nothing worked. Dani’s transparency about her own struggles made me feel seen in a way I cannot fully convey, it was unreal. I’ve accomplished more in my first week with this book than I ever thought possible. If you work from home and have ADHD it can be a VERY dangerous combo. This book saved my job. I would follow Dani into battle at this point.
Keri –
I love this book. I recommend it to everyone. The BINGO planner changed my life.
Jacklyn Spates –
I am an adult with ADHD. I’ve had it my entire life. It’s not an excuse, it’s not a curse, it’s not a blessing… it just is what it is. It’s the way my brain works. For the past 5 years, I have really struggled to stay on task (probably due to the part of my brain that can only focus when it is having fun, or under immense stress). So I would try to come up with ways to make things more fun. I have bought many ADHD books… you might be shocked to learn that I haven’t actually read most of them, because, well… yeah. I ran across this title on Amazon while I was looking for a different ADHD book. I had never heard of this book, but the name interested me. I was a bit taken aback by the high price point, but impulsivity got the best of me and I got the book.
First of all, the book just looks fun. It looks like a planner, but it is totally not a planner. It is full of drawings and color and even starts with a little story. The book is organized by symptoms so that you can reference a certain section based on the struggle you are having at that moment. You do not need to read it cover to cover. This book is basically a treasure trove of brain hacks for ADHDers… a book with a bunch of strategies to convince your brain to do the adult things by tricking it into thinking the boring thing is kind of fun. It is PACKED full of different ideas. I would guess there are 100-150 ideas in this book. Of course, you are not going to like all of them- some of them I skimmed right over…
But there were about 10 that I loved. And there were 3 I did right away. And there was one that has ALREADY changed my life. Now I don’t think it would be fair to the author to tell what exactly I learned (sharing information for free), but I can say it was something I had never heard of, and actually, at first read, I thought it sounded nuts. Like, something only weird people would do. Then I looked in the mirror and remembered. And I did the thing. And I got done AT LEAST 50% more work than I would have if I hadn’t used the strategy. And that was just ONE thing. If I use nothing else out of this book ever (which I doubt!) it would already have been worth what I paid.
If you are considering this book, don’t hesitate. It might do for you what it has done for me in just 3 days of owning it.
I also posted this review on Amazon.

A long procrastinated on review, despite being written on the brightest color on the kanban board.
This is one of the most helpful books in my life, right from starting with finally letting me make peace with The Thing & how I work, and then somehow accounting for how I tend to jump around. I love how relaxed it all feels, which has let me get a lot done & feel more satisfied about getting them done. The sections each hit so many spots that each tab has gotten their own set of sub-tabs. Worth every bit of what I paid including shipping and I gladly bring it around whenever I can. Thank you so much for this book & helping me understand myself better, and also to the How to ADHD channel for letting me know about it.
Nova –
This is one of my favorite things ever! Not just books, but out of everything. If you have ADHD and are on the fence about this, please just BUY IT and one for a friend! I would gladly have paid 3x the money for this book, it’s been more helpful by far than my ADHD coaching. It was too much for my brain to just start wherever in the book, so I decided (as part of my “miracle morning”-look that up) to just read a few pages every morning, and do any activities applicable. It has been such a great way to start my day! I have always HATED writing, but gave it a go to actually write in the book not just do the exercises in my head and what a difference! I actually look forward to writing now WHAT?!And I have my few comfort pages that I go back to again and again – feels like Dani is sitting right there with me helping me out. Thank you for pushing through to make this book Dani!!!! It’s beyond beautiful and such a fun help!!!
The Duke Of ADHD –
This book actually made me realize that I want to help other people as well. I hope people can read this and find it as helpful as I did. 20/10!
Eva (verified owner) –
I LOOOOOOVE this book!!!
It is so beautiful, it is always on my desk, and even when I am not currently using it, I get a little motivation out of how beautiful it is.
But when I am using it, we are having so much fun together! I still don’t like THE THING, but some of the smaller things are slowly losing their frightning nature. THE THING also gets done bit by bit, already used a few different techniques for it, and it is so helpful being able to swich the techniques around!
If there was a genie, I would wish for this book to also come as an App, would be willing to spend lots of money on it just to have all the techniques with me everywhere I go (yes, I also got the PDF, but those don’t work as well for me).
Thank you so much Dani, for writing this book! I found it through the book from Jessica McCabe, she recommends you, also a really good read. The combination of the two books already took so much stress out of my life, and are so fun to read and use. Thank you thank you thank you, and all the best in your future endeavours!

Best book ever !!
My executive functioning skills are at an all time low, but this book is helping me navigate All The Stuff. Just by opening it in the middle, and going with what works. So I am finally getting s… done AND feeling better about it all. Thank you thank you thank you
Lex B. –
It works as intended – even when I forget about it for weeks at a time. XD
This book helped me self-manage without medication, and pushed me to seek an official diagnosis. Now that I’m medicated, its activities still help me A LOT. The Overwhelmed tab, especially, has been a life-saver.
I would recommend this book to anybody struggling with self-starting, self-motivating, getting organized, or just feeling like a capable adult person when their executive function won’t cooperate.
Dani Donovan, thank you so much for putting together this veritable pot of gold!

Wow, what a book! “The look of it. The smell of it. The texture.” (Goldmember from Austin Powers III)
I loved the awesome structure and the fact that writing over the pages is recommended; I’ll break out the coloured pencils/pens etc. when time allows.
Using the “what’s my state/problem/anxiety?” -> “Here, try this …” approach, I can happily report that it got me through a rough couple of weeks coming up to a project deliverable. Realising I was “stuck” because I was also being “perfectionistic” I quickly found the “How to half-a**e it” and the “Timer Challenge” tactics. In the 3 hours before a team meeting for discussing a draft presentation. I settled for the Timer Challenge, allowing me to have chicken scratchings to discuss across all the slides rather than one incomplete slide that was getting polished.
My impulsivity had me get both the pdf bundle and the book, I’m happy about that decision though would argue that the book is worth waiting for, getting the shrink wrap off and having a Proustian moment bringing me back to the smell of arts classes at school was a thing (for me anyways, we’re all different and experiences may vary depending on your disposition) Since getting the book, I’ve also drafted my own “timer challenge template” in google docs, so that I can just type things in (happy to share if the author allows).

This is the only planner that has ever worked for me. It snuck up on me; I didn’t think it would stick, but the sections correspond so well to what I go through that I find myself coming back to them if only to confirm that what I’m feeling is real and shared. The variety of page styles and activity formats and illustrations make this book so dynamic and interesting to flip through. Also I have wept in solidarity and relief and comfort and devastation while clutching this book to my chest on countless occasions because of how apt and relatable the descriptions are. This anti-planner has decontextualized how I think and feel about myself and has unquestionably changed my life for the better. Would recommend to any neurodivergent in my life, and at least 1/3 of the neurotypicals because burnout comes for us all:(
Claire C –
I bought a copy of the Anti-Planner in the second round of preorders (at least, I think it was then; time is fuzzy). It lives on my living room side table between my dictionary and The Book of Unusual Knowledge. It has left the table, though: I’ve brought it back and forth to work with me. It’s helped a lot when I needed to gameify a project or to-do list at work that I was dreading. Sometimes, I just flip through it before getting to work on chores around the house. Even if I don’t use a strategy from the book, it’s a sort of clue to my brain that it’s time to be productive. I’ve played chores battleship with my husband via text while he’s at work, which is super fun! Best of all, it helps me to know that I’m not alone. Thank you for putting this together, Dani! I’m proud of you for getting sh*t done and writing your book!
Vanessa –
The anti-planner has it all: emotional support – check, fun dopamine producing ways to hopefully refocus my attention onto my tasks – check, serious reflections on what is holding me back – check… and it’s been a great gift too! I’m still discovering new methods to aide me in my quest for focus even when all of those different types of journals and calendars are gathering dust. Thanks Dani!
Dominique –
I love it! It’s kind of a fun way to deal with non so fun problem.

I received my anti-planner this week and I wanted to tell you how the message at the beginning of the book where you talked about “the thing” made something click.
As a ADHDmirable human, I realize I have a strong nurturing sense. So, when I saw the little orange post-it, I felt a strong desire to care for him.
Since then, I did tasks I had postponed for months. I even wrote a chore on a post-it and when I finished, I kissed the paper before sending it to the bin.
I don’t know if this mindset will stick long but right now, it seems to work.
Thank you
Jenny –
I am a therapist with ADHD and I use this myself and urge all my teen and adult clients with ADHD to buy it. The tabbed sections are SUPER helpful. And, I like the colors and font and overall more “fun” look and feel to the book. Thank you for writing it!
Tom –
This is the first time I’m writing a review for anything, but this book is certainly worth your time. Each strategy is awesomely unique, entertainingly designed, and packs the motivational and organisational punch I was craving from self help habit books. I use this book all the time, and it’s helped me and my family countless times.
Kayla Ventura –
This book has saved me so many times, I have recommended it to so many people. It’s the only book that consistently works with my brain, because there are so many varied approaches! Most planners or books like this have one approach or technique, and that’s great and all, but I have ADHD and my brain only follows one technique for like a week, and then it doesn’t work anymore. This book doesn’t have that problem. And it’s funny! Honestly, sometimes I straight up just flip through the book just to read the little blurbs, it’s very entertaining
Jenn –
As a recovering burnt-out academic, this book has been a true lifesaver for me. I’ll set it aside for a month, but when I find myself slipping back into unhealthy habits and spiraling, it’s there to rescue me and my research. Thank you, Dani, for creating something truly invaluable. It’s worth every penny and more.
Elizabeth –
This is a book I actually return to!
I have found an amazing way to help motivate myself to get up and start cleaning (overwhelmed) becauese of this book.
I continutally return to read back over the encouraging, supportive prompts- even if I’m not taking the time for the tasks.
I appreciate having something that I can use over and over again. From wanting, to doing- this book has helped my ADHD brain create strageties to use in so many parts of my daily life. This book is worth it’s weight in gold- and it’s a heafty book! The detail and quality provides for years of love and self-development.
I have found so many repeat uses out of this book, that I went ahead and purchased a ‘clean’ version to keep in my office!
Thank you, Dani Donovan, for creating something that has changed the world for so many! Your recognition of other creators means so much!!!
LN –
The Anti-Planner is SO helpful! It really makes me examine what block I’m facing, so that I can pick a strategy to move past it. While I have heard of some of the strategies in the book, most of them are totally new to me. I could try a new one every day and still not repeat for like a year. Even my non-ADHD friend found some great strategies to try!

10 out of 10. If you’re this far, and sitting here debating on it, make the jump and buy it. This book has been astounding and incredibly helpful in so many ways, allowing me to also learn about myself along the way. I had one of the original pre orders, and it was worth every second and every penny for the wait.
If you or someone in your life is a little 🔥neurodivergent, and struggles with various roadblocks on things like menial tasks or even some of the big scary tasks – this book is phenomenal. It’s not for everyone but if you’re reading this far and into the reviews, you’re probably someone who would enjoy it. From the writing and creative stance of the exercises and words of encouragement, to the relatable cursing when things go sideways.
I’d buy this again in a heartbeat regardless of the price. It’s easily worth the same as a few hundred dollars with a professional counselor (NOTE – do not use this to fully substitute professional help/assistance). I use this book in conjunction with therapist and a psychiatrist, and it’s been priceless.
Christie –
Love this book! Dani brings together her amazing insight with her awesome art. It is a great resource. And it’s so easy to find what you need in the moment. Keep it close to where you work! And don’t be afraid to scribble in it and tear it up and whatever else the exercises suggest!
Cora –
I love it. My brain sometimes decides it needs unique motivation and the anti-planner provides it effectively. Highly recommend.
Alexandra Chavarot –
This book has been (and still is) super helpful to me!
– It’s beautiful and the pictures are fun, so it’s a pleasure to open it, which is a good motivation trick for my ADHD brain!
– The best thing about the book is that it works as a toolbox you can pick from as needed. And the chapters really match the feelings we might have, so it’s easy to use, even when we’re inside the storm!
– Navigating through the book is easy and intuitive ;
– There are a lot of different tools, so you can find what really works for you ;
– And it’s FUN!
Thank you Dani for all this work!!!

To be honest, I think this planner is just too amazing to be so cheap 😱 Dani needs to sell it for more!
It is just colourful, beautiful, personal, relatable and you get so many amazing tools. It’s evident this was made by someone with lots of skills and love. Everytime I look at it it makes me happy. I didnt even mind that she had to raise the price, it is just so worth it and I will buy it again again and again. Proud to be able to support such an awesome creator ❤️ You make my day, every day. Love from Berlin!
Jen K –
I have ADHD & love this book. Even when none of the scenarios “fit” exactly, I can use the exercises to inspire me & get me out of the unproductive hole I’m in at the time. It’s all about getting out of my own head, finding a place to start, rethinking things, etc., and having a guide from someone who gets it is super helpful! So much more useful than trying to shame myself into productivity, which is what I did for most of my life. It is spendy as far as books go, but definitely worth the price. If you can afford it & are on the fence, I highly recommend going for it. If you have ADHD you’re probably spending far more money on much less useful things anyway (:

I recommend The Anti-Planner to every client I have with executive function challenges and it is a standing recommendation in my assessment reports. I have both the regular and PG versions – the books themselves are beautiful, and the content is brilliant. Worth every penny and, Dani, please don’t worry about the price increase! This is a needed resource – pricing it to be sustainable is important. Also, let us know your favorite pens! You make mention of them and as a pen connoisseur I’m so eager to know which you like!
Nikki (verified owner) –
It is hard for me to write a review right now so please don’t take the review itself not being great as a reflection on the book which is amazing!
This is the least regretted purchase I have made in a long time, I am so glad I got it! I have only recently had my diagnosis despite suffering for decades and this book is so comforting and helpful. It is super easy to pick up and read, the layout is so thoughtful and the illustrations funny and insightful.
To be honest it was a lot of money for me (though understandable given the quality, size and work needed o produce it) but it looked so good I went for it anyway, and I am really glad I did.
It had already helped me in really practical and non-judgemental ways. I really can’t recommend this enough.
I only actually thought to write a review after the email explaining the necessity of a price rise and one thing I want to say is, I would still buy and not regret this book if I had paid the new the higher price,
I actually can’t think of another book that has actually made so much difference to me in a practical sense.
I really hope that the price doesn’t put people off who can afford it, and I hope it getting wider distribution helps more people who need it to find it.
I can’t remember how I even came across the book (maybe the youtube channel “how to Adhd”?) but I am so glad it exists!
Agnieszka Gorońska –
I’m neurospicy in another way, having depression. This little gem makes my life brighter and easier to cope when energy levels are low or when I lose confidence and seek refuge in spiralling anxiety.
Additional points for:
I’m a teacher as well, and have a plethora of kids with different issues influencing their executive functions. I can bring this up, and inspire them to find new methods in staying motivated and on track with their goals, both school-connected and not.
Dani, you are a blessing for this!
Ellie –
Seriously, seriously good! It’s the whole family’s go to book. I showed it to my mother who said “at my age (89) I’ve figured these things out, but what I wouldn’t have given to have had this book years ago. Would have saved me a whole heap of trouble. It’s a godsend”. The usual advice (ie planners) apply to the usual people. The rest of us are left to try and work it out on our own. Thank you Dani – worth every penny as it’s a book for life 🙏
TC –
it’s so much fun…I still read more than I’ve done/used in the book….but it’s made to play with! it’s one of the few books I have that don’t demand to be read, just flip to what you need help with and then read like 1 page and many are basically games to make getting shit done more fun/less stressfully overwhelmingly hard!
thanks for creating such a solid tool.
I’ve not even lost it yet,it’s big enough to not loose.
Hanah –
I got this planner in the very first run but in true ADHD fashion never got around to reviewing it.
This is the best tool I keep going back to. It lives on my desk at work and any time I’m feeling stuck or overwhelmed it’s so easy to reach for it. Dani’s tone and realistic approach is so so so helpful. I recommend this book to everyone I know, adhd or not.
Tamar –
The only ADHD tool I’ve bought that’s actually worked. I was so excited when it arrived I read most of the book before even trying any of the strategies and a part of me was scared I’d do the same thing I always do and never get my act together and act on any of it.
However something about the relaxed tone and having Dani remind me it’s OK if I lose the antiplanner under a pile of stuff for months and then come back to it or not has taken the pressure off and kept me going.
In addition I love how it’s sectioned out by the emotion that’s blocking me so now when I’m stuck on the couch avoiding life I have a tool I can pick up that helps me work out what I’m feeling and gives me a few things to try to break through that wall.
My place has never been this clean and it’s all thanks to the anti planner.
I feel like I’m finally learning to adult and now when I don’t have the energy for life I give myslef a break and then pick something new from the antiplanner to try it’s really helped me build my self esteem and shown me a way out of the dark periods that used to take up so much of my energy and time.
Favorite activity for the dark days is the 5 minute tidy up I’m always amazed how much better I feel after just 5 minutes of improving my surroundings.
Thank you Dani for all the hard work you put into this you’ve changed my life.
Katie –
Seriously the best. It was recommended to me by a client and I can’t say enough good things about it!
Melissa –
This book is a game changer for me. I love that there are a ton of different ideas to help me cope with life. The coloring pages are the best!
Thank you Dani for putting this together!
Karen Smith –
Thank you Dani, the Anti-Planner has been a godsend! I frequently play ‘task battle’ with fellow motivationally-challenged friends. Fantastic and fun exercises and great illustrations. And I love the suggestion to use the Anti-Planner as a random resource from time to time, instead of needing to read it right through (although I have done that also!).
I fully recommend this resource for anyone, but especially if struggling with ADHD, anxiety or motivation.
Tia Kennedy –
This book is excellent! As one who requires novelty it is so beneficial to have on hand (and without thought) a bunch of techniques to still my overexcited brain. Seeing strategies I already use in the book was also awesome, as it reaffirmed a change of mindset from “these things I do because I’m lazy/never keep on task” etc to legitimate and clever strategies for legitimate problems/hurdles. The fun doodling on the book helps keep me coming back too. I’m going to grab the clean version for my kids to use too. Your work is so impressive Dani. It’s worth every cent and more.
Cathy Richardson –
I bought a copy of the original version as soon as I found out about it! I love the creative and fun approaches to getting things started and following through. When the “clean” version came out, I bought a copy for myself and passed my original version along to a younger friend who has ADHD. I bought a copy for my son also. This book is GREAT!!!
Mélo –
Totally worth the wait and the cost!
It’s so usefull, sometimes it feel like if someone knew exactly how I felt and gave me a solution and compassion right when I need it.
It’s so beautiful just looking at it on my shelf helps me sometimes to do what I have to do. I 100% recomand it for anyone struggling with procrastination.
Shannon R –
I so appreciate this anti-planner, which seems to have been written for me. personally. so like thank you for making this for me. you get me.

I’m considering asking for a commission on every book that’s sold because of my recommendation. I got this for my partner and they LOVE IT, and so their Mum got a copy for Christmas, my sister has a copy on the way, at least one person at my work grabbed a copy (They say that spicy brains seem to find each other and stick together..right? xD)
10/10, would recommend! 🙂
Julia –
The Anti-Planner is like having a Superwoman in a spiral-bound book.
I am an Autistic/Adhder, who works with (you guessed it) Autistic ADHDers in my Mental Health Practice.
I frequently direct them to this resource because of the accessible ways to introduce fun into organization and tasks.
My clients with demand avoidance find great success in turning a task into a game and can get things done!
I love it too!!
I’m not sure why you haven’t purchased this book yet.
Now off you go.
Colin –
This book is so much more than a guide to planning. It doesn’t make you do stuff, it helps you want to do stuff and be proud of the small things that are just too much sometimes. If you’re struggling at all with the hellscape that being an adult is, get this book. It is an immense help and invaluable.
Thank you Dani for helping me get shit done when I absolutely feel like I *cannot*
Laurel (verified owner) –
I use my anti-planner more to help others problem solve out of getting stuck than I do for myself — it is an amazing tool for teens and adults. Love Dani’s sense of humor and helps with motivation when the “I can’t decide”s hit.
Katana –
As someone with ADHD with ADHD, this resource has been a lifesaver. I have shared it with all of my neurodivergent friends and so many teacher friends.
Shane M. (verified owner) –
I got this guide for my partner who navigates some pretty intense ADHD, and it’s the only thing that has helped him get a handle on his life. And I do mean in every aspect; finances, social, health, and more. I don’t know if it’s because the tools provided are super effective or if they’re just so fun and easy to utilize. They feel more like games than tasks to check off or chores to do. I’m neurotypical and I’ve also adopted some of the practices because they clearly work. Bravo to the creator; you’ve really cracked a kind of code here.
Lequisha –
MY HOLY GRAIL. This planner, plus Jesse J Anderson’s book Extra Focus, has changed how I handle ADHD. I was getting in trouble at work for making too many mistakes and not paying attention and I was pretty much on my way out the door, like many other jobs that I had. I was given one more chance to get it together and seeing as trying really, really, really hard wasn’t working, I finally cracked open the Planner that I bought a year ago. I have strategies now to get through really dull days working or where my mental energy is close to nil. I can say that I’ve developed more confidence and it’s looking really good that I’m keeping my job. I CANNOT express how grateful I am to Dani for pushing through ADHD to put out the Anti Planner. I actually travel with it because who knows when I need the umph to get something done. I’m about to buy one more to so I can keep one at work and one at home. So TL;DR- BUY THIS BOOK, especially if you like shiny ADHD stuff.
Félicia –
Received my book today. Even more beautiful than in the photo! Well written. Marvellous graphics. Clear design.
Alyssa –
LITERALLY BUY IT!! I’ve been using this for the last few years and it’s incredibly helpful for anyone struggling with their productivity or working remotely. I even started bringing it with me to therapy and now my therapist selects new exercises for me at each visit to focus on based on what I’m going through at that time. I’ve loved it for years and even my therapist wants to buy the book now! Thank you Dani for creating something so unique and SO WORTH IT!
Vivian Baker (verified owner) –
Just got mine 2 days ago, and all I want to do is read it! So many fabulous ideas! I don’t know if I’m ADHD, and who cares at 82 years old and retired? I did so well while I was working with a full time secretary who kept me organized. I did not know how much I needed her until I did not have her. I must pull myself together!! Thank you for this book!! It’s exactly what I need.
Mitch –
I pre-ordered this book so early before it was published, Dani did a complete redesign of the art some time during my wait for it. No arguments here- the art is phenomenal.
After all that waiting, I did my own procrastinating. At first, I didn’t use my new book because I didn’t want to sully it’s prestine pages with my scribbles. I even told myself it was too valuable a book/investment to “use up” the pages…(at one point I even tried filling it in using strategically placed sticky notes).
At long last, I’ve cracked the seal and written directly in the book. Well worth the wait, no matter what my excuses were, this is a book that will continue to provide value no matter how sparingly I use it…just so long as I use it!
Ann-Margret Parke –
Such a good, doable advice full book. Has been super helpful, thank you!
Jen Barnes (verified owner) –
This is THE BEST productivity book out there. Let me restate that… THE BEST productivity tool out there! This is a must have for all ADHDers and really anyone who ever struggles to do stuff. It is brilliantly laid out in a super ADHD-brain friendly way, breaking down the different ways we are challenged with getting stuff done. Plus, it’s fun and there is a TON of novelty and playfulness to keep our interest-based nervous systems engaged.
The book itself is super high quality with a beautiful cover, ring binding for easy open, amazing graphics and art, and a quality of paper I didn’t know was possible in a book (i.e., super hard to rip or destroy no matter how hard my messy and breaking-things parts of me try). It feels like such a luxury to have something SO beautiful AND have it be so completely helpful with getting things done.
As a licensed psychotherapist and ADHD coach, I recommend this to all of my clients who struggle with task completion. AND, as an ADHD woman I LOVE this for myself.
Kelsey –
This has been a LIFESAVER both as a woman who was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult and as a therapist who works with neurospicy clients. I’m able to help make my life a little easier with the exercises and I get to share these things with my clients. I love it so much and recommend it every chance I get with clients, friends, and everyone.
Emma –
This has given me lots of ideas to combat the various barriers I come across or holes I fall into when trying to do things. The format is really helpful to pinpoint what the exact barrier is and the variety and humour stops me getting bored with things that work as there’s plenty to choose from. The book itself feels really substantial and it encourages me to use it as I don’t need to baby it to stop it falling apart as its so well made.
Melissa –
I absolutely love all the ideas in this. Its great that it is broken down in sections and is east to flip to what I need to focus on and find an idea there.

The digital bundle is NOT the entire hard copy book. It’s a small taste of what you can expect to find in this amazing, ADHD Bible, which is full of resources, exercises, and techniques. If you have ADHD, buy the FULL copy. You won’t regret it.
I heard about this book when I was in the midst of holiday traveling. I was excited to see there was a digital option, as well as a hard copy option. I didn’t want my book stolen by a Holiday Porch Pirate (while I was out of town), so I bought the “clean” digital version. In typical ADHD fashion, I only read every few sentences of the description, and impulsively and eagerly paid $25 for the digital version. When I got back, I ordered the original book, and when it arrived, compared the two versions. Dani Donovan’s book is AMAZING. Lots of great tools. My 9 year old daughter also has ADHD, and was curious about this book, and giggled when she noticed occasional curse words. The digital copy is NOT the entire book. It’s a small taste of what you can expect to see in the full version. I went online and ordered the CLEAN version for my 9 year old. I kinda feel like I might have just tossed $25 out the window, but that’s my fault for being impulsive, wanting instant gratification, and not reading every line in the description. It’s a good thing I ordered this book!!!! It seems slightly ironic and funny that my ADHD got the best of me while I was ordering a book about ADHD. Still, I’m grateful to have stumbled upon this ADHD Bible with tons of resources, tools, and techniques. The book is worth EVERY penny.
Celina (verified owner) –
Even though everyone has already said it, I need to repeat. THIS BOOK IS AMAZING! The tone is empathetic, the wording is incredibly clear, the paper and binding feels high quality, the content is structured innovative and to be honest I just want more. It has helped me again and again in fighting the symptoms, while I’m doing therapy, medication and so much more. It gives me a sense of safety, that I will log it around with me, even though I hate having too much stuff with me. Also I am gifted and have a good sense for quality. If you ever need more in detail feedback, ask me. I will convince anyone why this book is a must have for anyone!
Daniel Yoensky –
Just got this from my parents for Christmas and it has really helped me get going. Finding new ways to make something that much more enjoyable really helped. If you have ADHD and are stuck, and falling behind you should really get this. It will help you.
Ashley –
WOW – This is an absolutely incredible resource! It is so engaging, and has a variety of strategies so there is something that resonates with anyone. I started using this right away and am excited to continue trying out additional activities and games. I’m planning to involve my family in some of them as well!
Kari (verified owner) –
My tenage daughter Just got diagnosen with ADHD and we have so much to learn about it. we are really enjoying reading the book together. And it is really making me understand her struggles and how I can help. Love it !
Monica C (verified owner) –
I finally received my book earlier this week and just finished reading through it. There are strategies in here that I was using to cope with my ADHD even BEFORE I so much as suspected I even had ADHD so it’s all around very validating to see. My fiancé and I both have ADHD, his is especially rough, but we’re looking forward to using this new tool!
Rowen –
I’m not able to take ADHD meds due to other, conflicting health conditions and so I have to manage it through lifestyle modification. This book is the most useful tool I have! Now the only time I find myself getting stuck is when I forget to use it…
I recommend this book to all my friends, and anyone else with ADHD I meet. It’s life-changing.
Syed Taukir (verified owner) –
I’ve found incredible support through Dani’s relentless and creative work, who has not only made me feel heard and understood but has shown me that I’m not alone in my struggles. Knowing there’s a solution is comforting, and although it may not be a one-size-fits-all fix, it’s like having a versatile Swiss knife (anti-planner) that helps me navigate challenges with confidence.
Grateful for the guidance and understanding!”
Sallie (verified owner) –
I adore this and it’s been made with such love. Thank you x
Tim Abell –
This thing is the bee’s knees. Funny, motivating, tactile. Looooooooooove it. Just afraid to write in it because it’s soooo perfect lol
Sarah –
Dani your Anti-Planner is hilarious and adorable. I’ve been a fan of your comics for awhile—they helped convince me to get tested because you really need to get out of my head lol. I’ve told tons of ADHD people about it. The fact that you’ve shared pdfs has helped a lot for those of us who want to use the planner more than once. You explain things in ways that are easy to understand and the games are really fun. I love how you reassure readers that it’s ok to use parts of it, all of it, put it down for awhile, or whatever. It’s just so useful. Thank you for doing this.
Alexis –
Very helpful resources and such an engaging guide! I appreciate that I can reuse pages and that some of them are independent or ones to engage with others. Love how easy it is to jump into any of the strategies with the directions given. Highly recommend to anyone with (undiagnosed) ADHD and/or in need of executive functioning support.
Ashley (verified owner) –
I absolutely love the Anti-Planner! Just looking through the book when I first got it made me so happy. Having this book makes me feel like I have a friend who will be there to motivate, encourage, and support me whenever I need some help. The book is well-made, and I love the design of the cover. I also really appreciate how the book is divided into sections for different emotions and how fun the activities are. It helps me better understand why I’m procrastinating and helps me learn how to manage it in a fun way. It’s an amazing book that I would happily recommend to others!
Malia –
The Anti-Planner has been a huge help when I need to get unstuck. My #1 go-to activities are the Music Challenge and the Cleaning Scavenger Hunt. No matter how impossible things feel at first, these techniques make a quick tidy fun and productive. I love that there are so many different options to choose from in this book so I know I’ll always find something to get me out of whatever rut I’m in. The divisions of types of roadblocks and references to alternate suggestions and sections are really useful, too.
Mariam –
This is simply a life guide for all people, ADHD or not this is simply a great strategy book that guides you on how to motivate yourself and keep an organised life inside and out. Worth every penny. Thank you Dani for writing this and sharing it with the world.
Louise –
I keep my copy close to my workspace. Anytime I feel lost, frustrated or overwhelmed (and I remember this book) I take it out and be surprised there’s a chapter covering my hangups. It’s a nifty book that helps me stop and rethink a situation or reminds me of other coping strategies when dealing with a situation.
Tim –
Amazing planner, very helpful. I love how it’s filled in (so to speak) so you don’t feel bad leaving pages blank. I love the texture of the cover it feels nice, and the cartoons give it a fun vibe. It’s a great guide to have around and flip through every now and then.
Neja –
I love it.
I have ADHD and usually forget to use my planners. It happens with this one too, but with this planner this is no big deal. When I can’t get myself to do something and I remember that I have it, than I use it and it actually is pretty helpful. I am hopeful I will get in the habit of remembering to use it when I need it.
I think it is really a great thing to have if you are fighting procrastination on a daily basis, because it is full of helpful and interesting resources. And it is very pretty too.
Marta –
This is such a fun planner, very different from what I’m used to do, but it has so many good advices. I had so many planers that I used once and never grabbed it again, but this one makes me always come back curious
MJH –
38 year old in the UK. This is really good. It’s somewhat non-linear in a way which suits. Obviously the design and the labour of love quality stand out. It is also organised around an ethos of empowerment. It’s cool that you can take it and leave it, come back to it. Idiosynclicious.
Flora (verified owner) –
I just received my copy this evening. The exercises I’ve tried are somehow a lot more fun and engaging in this book despite looking so similar to ones that people have suggested to me over the years. I cried reading some of these pages because these words are so human.
Dani, will you please keep printing these so I can get a fresh one every time I wear one out for the next 70 years? TBH, that would also make it much easier for me to follow the instructions on page 12, but also I can only erase so many times before I tear a page. Anyways, I really appreciate your style.
Kayla –
this book is life changing with how i and my family function. The content is flexible to match my focus. its super rewarding to be able to skim over a method that’s new to me and figure it out while getting necessary tasks completed.
DRS –
Awesome planner. Useful and fun; great for neurospicies!
Reid –
I bought the Anti Planner, because I am a known procastinator.
This book has helped me get my own book done much more.
Dani –
This is brilliant!!! I wholeheartedly recommend it to every ADHD-er I know. Far from being a planner it is a book of tips for getting past the blocks we have which prevent us from getting stuff done. It is SO good.
Ti –
This book is so good. I never review things, but it’s that good. It is PACKED with ideas. Have recommended it to so many people
Pam (verified owner) –
This book is amazing. I can’t remember where I saw it, but it was either on Reddit or some kind of social media thing. Between chronic illness, crippling fatigue, chronic pain, and finding out that I might have undiagnosed ADHD, I really struggle to get things done. This book has been a life changing thing for me. Having the book divided in sections for the various reasons you might be stuck is especially helpful. I have been getting things done because of this book. Also, I added the tada list idea to my daily journaling, which has made me feel a lot better on those days when I can’t push through pain and fatigue to get much done. Thanks to writing a tada list daily, I’m seeing on bad days that I did actually get stuff done and I did pretty well despite my circumstances. Thank you for making this book!
Cale Kaminsky –
This book is amazing! I am a therapist and find myself often using this book with clients who have ADHD. Even clients without ADHD can benefit from the skills in this book. Heck, I even use it for myself (a fellow ADHD brain). The way it is written and designed is inviting, easy to use and understand, compassionate, and truly with individuals with ADHD in mind. I love that it is broken down by sections based on how you are feeling to help give you a starting point! This book has helped me and my clients with ADHD manage things that were once difficult and we did not have the words for. I am so grateful for this book and to Dani for writing it!
Nicole –
There are times (more than I would like to admit) that I don’t know what to do with myself. I know we have to be gentle with ourselves and work with our brain not against it, but it’s more difficult said than done. I have been struggling with figuring out workarounds or ways to deal with my ADHD symptoms until I found this book. This is a survival guide and it was godsent. I can’t explain how grateful I am to own a copy. I have recommended this book to everyone I know.
Rowan (verified owner) –
When I get overwhelmed or frustrated, I have a hard time articulating what’s getting in my way. This breaks it down very logically and just the act of naming what’s happening in my head takes away some of the pressure and gets me going. This is the most helpful tool I’ve come across short of medication for managing my ADHD. It’s f*ckin’ brilliant.
Carrie –
I bought the Anti-Planner during its second pre-order run. It is great! I love how Dani encourages you to use it when you *need* it and let it go when you don’t. As an ADHDer with some pretty hardcore perfectionism, even things that are supposed to be helpful often turn into a stress of “am I using this right!?” With this book, I get to pick and choose what I need, including resting instead of pushing through. It’s so great that I recommended it to a group of colleagues and like 5 people went and bought it on the spot!
Sally Linton –
This a fun and easy to use resource! Completely different approach from other traditional planners….that usually don’t work for ADHD’ers. The tabs are awesome to help direct the fast brain to possible strategies.
Clara Thomann –
This book is a game changer. My husband and I were diagnosed in the last two years and have been searching for tools to help us. I bought one copy to reference from home but he kept stealing it and taking it to his office while he is finishing his PhD. So I ordered another one for me! As a teacher I’m amazing with the scaffolding and modeling! I love the way it’s organized. So well done and accessible without being pedantic and annoying. Love this book!
Leslie (verified owner) –
I cannot say enough good things about the Anti-Planner. A close family member has ADD, and this planner has made all the difference. It also helps me when I’m not feeling motivated! I’m also a counselor, so the activities come in handy with clients.
Mithryn –
Bought this for my girlfriend. She raved over it and we have flipped through the pages when she is feeling the emotions listed and found ways through some of the most difficult struggles.
The ideas are clear, clean and easy to follow along without getting overwhelmed.
Worth every penny.
Becky –
I love planners – they look so pretty as they sit unused on my shelf. This anti-planner has actually helped. It’s not going to run out of dates or silently judge me for not being organized and motivated. It gives me strategies and ideas and helps me get out of my own way. It’s there when I need it, but I do not have some kind of planning obligation about it. Huzzah for a planner that actually helps.
Ricky –
Just love it!! Bought the clean edition for my nephew for Christmas!
Hugo Segura –
I just love the anti planner. Also, Dani sent a LOT of material while we were waiting for the final edition, so we had many useful resources!
I love the layout, the color codes, well: everything!
Becky Anna-Marie –
Having pre-ordered, this obviously took a long time to arrive, but it was so worth the wait!
As an ADHDer it can be hard to know WHY you can’t just get the thing done, or what exactly it is that you’re feeling, that is preventing you from doing the thing. This ‘planner’ makes it easy for you. I love that it’s not only separated into sections by feeling, but the start of each section gives a bit of an explanation, what needs to happen to move forwards, and the best part – a checklist of what that feeling typically looks like, so you can identify whether or not that feeling actually is what’s going on!
Each section is then broken down EVEN FURTHER, so you can start to tackle the WHY you’re feeling that way. Again, with examples of what each one looks like, so you can navigate to the relevant subsection. Each subsection gives you several (helpful and/or fun) activities to choose from to help you move forwards. Plus, suggestions of other activities within the ‘planner’ that you might also like based on the ones covered within that particular subsection.
I write ‘planner’ because, as the name suggests, it’s not really a planner – it’s more like a guide. And the extras section gives you a list of resources organised by overarching feeling to more-specific feeling, and a symbol next to each resource identifying it as either an app, website (or both), physical product, or book. The colour-coded organisation and ease of access to a range of helpful tools when needed, makes the autistic side of my brain happy haha.
Every page is filled with colour, Dani’s comic drawings, and light-hearted, supportive language. Dani really did a fantastic job creating this, and I highly recommend it to every ADHDer who often finds themselves ‘stuck’!
Anna –
I love love love this thing. It’s full of awesome tips and tricks that have genuinely helped me and on top of that it’s a great-looking book that just is fun to sift through and look at. Absolutely worth every penny!
Nikki Nudelman –
I *love* my Anti-Planner! I signed up for the preorder, and even before I received the actual book, using some of the PDFs Danni sent out ahead of time were a lifesaver. Now that I have the full book, it’s been SO helpful in getting me moving when my brain says no. It has so many different activities for every different feeling I have when I want to get things done but can’t seem to, or even don’t know where to start. I can’t recommend this book highly enough. I consider it a Must Have for everyone who has ever struggled with procrastination as a fun, helpful way, low effort way to get yourself on track and get started.
Elizabeth Crisp –
I ordered two copies of original version for my myself and an older child and have ordered two copies of the clean copy for my younger kids. This is a rather long review, but this book is just that amazing! Attention anyone with or who loves someone with ADHD: Thanks to one of my kids, I have discovered a very recently published book that is amazing! I really cannot say enough good things about it or recommend it any higher–I would give it more than 5 stars. So I will tell you eight reasons why I love this book (there are many more, but eight is a good number). First of all, this is not some theoretical book by some generic researcher. It was created by someone who lives (and battles) with ADHD. Her name is Dani Donovan, and her book is The Anti-Planner https://anti-planner.com/shop/the-anti-planner-how-to-get-stuff-done-when-you-dont-feel-like-it/ [*one caveat if you look up her social media–she uses language that is typicall for today, but this link is for the “clean” version of the book.] Second, the book is not a planner–it is an amazing book of explanations, information, validation, comics, worksheets, and activities to help people who are feeling the affects of ADHD in their lives. Third–and this is a novel approach but absolutely the best organization for this type of book for most people with ADHD–the book is organized by FEELINGS! You try to identify what you are feeling (stuck, overwhelmed, unmotivated, disorganized, or discouraged) and turn to that section. You will find the feeling broken down even further. For example, if you turn to “Stuck,” you will find it broken down into four other feelings, one of which is “Difficulty getting started” which is broken down into some feelings or actions that might actually be behind that difficulty such as “I keep prioritizing less-important things.” As I was reading through the identifications of those feelings and what actions/inactions might result, it was immediately apparent that they are spot on for myself and anyone else that I know with ADHD. Then there are activites tailored to help you either overcome that stumbling block or to just get past it quickly and move on. There are enough activities for variety as well as some that will work for just about everybody without the choices being overwhelming. Fourth, another great thing is that Dani also has a list of some things that feeling might look like. So being stuck might look like things such as “chronic procratination, ignoring deadlines, and fear of failure.” So the things that someone thinks is just a person being lazy, or someone with ADHD thinking they are lazy themselves because they can’t just “suck it up” like everyone else, are explained as symptoms of the way their brain is working. Don’t forget that a person with ADHD, like everyone else, is good at a lot of things, and excellent at other things. There are just some things that their brain either doesn’t like to do or can’t do. This leads to the fifth reason this book is so awesome–it is compassionate and validating for someone who is feeling worthless or bad at housecleaning or like a failure at [fill in the blank] because their ADHD gets in the way. That cycle of wanting to do something but not being able to “suck it up” and do it, which leads to more feelings of failure, which leads to more feelings of being overwhelmed or unmotivated, which all look like being lazy, reinforces the idea for oneself and seems to say to other people that the person is lazy, and then the cycle just continues. This book helps people to understand why your mind is functioning this way, and the activities are created to try and overcome that type of not-so-good-for-you brain function. One of my children used 3 of the activities on the first day we got the book! Sixth, there are comics and pictures on just about every page to illustrate concepts as well as to draw your attention to specific items/ideas, and to keep your attention by making things interesting and exciting. Seventh, it is not just for people with ADHD, but also for people who work with or love someone with ADHD. As I was reading through it, I was intrigued by the “what [this feeling] might look like,” especially from the perspective of both a parent and a teacher. Many of the things that I do in my classroom are to help my students to stay organized, to keep track of what is going on in class, and for personal accountability. I have developed them over the course of years and they generally work very well. But some students won’t do them. Reading through this, I realized some of the reasons they “won’t” are because their brain just won’t let them, and it gave me some ideas of ways that I can make it easier for them to do it. And finally, the eight reason that I love this is that it’s just a beautiful, tangible book. I very highly recommend that you get yourself a copy. It is on limited runs and is expensive to print so it is a little pricey and so is the shipping, but I think that it is well worth the cost. Just make sure that you order the version that is right for you–the original version that has swear words, or the clean version which does not. Either way, I don’t think you will regret your purchase. And their customer service has been awesome when I had some questions that were specific to my situation and usage. I got an email on Saturday that said she is launching her youtube channel so is doing a sale this week and the book will be almost the cost of printing ($36) plus shipping (I believe is $9 per book) and taxes. The promo code is LAUNCHDAY. Happy anti-planning!

The layout, the messages, the ideas, all are absolute 5 stars. 10/10 would recommend, whether you’re a procrastinator or would simply like creative ideas for getting unstuck or dealing with overwhelm (me). This would make a great gift for any loved ones whose catchphrase is, “I’m feeling so overwhelmed,” or “There’s not enough time in the day to get things done.”

If you have ever seen the photo of an orphaned boy post-WW2 with a new pair of shoes, you will understand exactly how I felt when this book arrived. [Google “6-year-old austrian hans werfel defines joy”.] Thank you Dani, this book is beyond awesome.

Really helpful

I don’t actually have ADHD, but I have a hard time getting things done! There are so many fun ideas in this book. And, I’m realizing, sometimes it only takes one small thing to get me started. I absolutely recommend this book and anything by Dani.
Carolyn Damp –
I was hooked by page two. I don’t know if it was coincidence or genius, but the anti planner uses so many of the metaphors I already use to personify my anxieties. This is my comfort book that I turn to when I need a empathy or a kick in the pants.
Sandy G. –
I’ve never had so much fun and been more productive while creatively procrastinating! Just flipping through the pages encourages my motivation for the most boring tasks. Look out family, you are all getting one of these for Christmas!
Lorie Lowans-Wells –
Such a wonderful book/planner with practical tools to manage time and motivation! I bought for my ADHD teen but use it with my middle schooler and in my job. Love love love!
TC –
it’s super easy to use and fun! of course I put it in a special place and only just found it again last week ????. leave it on a table to get more use!

The Anti-Planner is the miracle tool I had hoped it would be. I have struggled all my life with overwhelm, procrastination and the whole lot of emotions while incurring other’s not understanding what I was experiencing. It was brutal to my self esteem. With the tools ready at hand, I have been able to get unstuck and not waste time shredding my self anymore.

This planner is wonderful! It’s beautifully done, absolutely hilarious, and genuinely helpful. I got an emotional when a section or two addressed a particularly painful, lifelong struggle. The activities are immediately actionable. Highly, highly recommended!
Andrew –
fantastic resource for quickly & directly finding help with a particular strong emotion/feeling – straight line from “I’m overwhelmed” to “here are tools to help with Overwhelm”
amazingly low friction and non-judgmental : )
Cecilie –
This is an amazing tool! I’ve already had so much use out of it! The design is beautiful and the setup is very intuitive. I loved it so much I bought one for my partner as well as a present.

Recently diagnosed (or rather officially confirmed) with ADHD. I struggle to get started or stay on task or focus. I get so frustrated when I feel like I’ve accomplished nothing. Binging a show probably doesn’t count as an accomplishment.
I’m so glad I found this book. I’ve used a bunch of the activities and the ones that feel like games really help, especially with decision paralysis. It has so far been an amazing resource for me to finally get things done. I’ll still have a few unfinished projects forever but at least I can finish new things I start. I love that there are sections and subsections so that I can get to the root of what my emotional needs are to do the thing I’m avoiding.

This was the first tool I’ve found for my neurospicy brain of goo that doesn’t make me hate myself! I can go weeks or even months without using it, but when that inner frustration hits again one day, I have this to find at least one way to combat the current issue. 10/10 would recommend ????
L –
outstanding book, I have been using it for myself as well as with my kids (teens).
Maya –
I’ve recommended this to so many people with ADHD and other neurospiciness. The tabs are excellent for helping me find tools to get through all kinds of hurdles. I share it with my 14 year old neurospicy kid who also finds the resources helpful. Definite win!
Willow Foltz –
My favorite and most useful book I own… Not only has it helped me, its also helped my son, my partner, my sister, and my mother.
I recommend it to everyone, its just a household necessity now

This is the BEST resource I have ever found. I have ADHD, I work with young people with ADHD, and in all of the training and reading I’ve done, I have never ever had something like this. I want to buy a whole box and start giving them out like candy at Halloween.
(and in case you think this review is just written by the author to sell copies, I can guarantee that it still works while upside-down in Australia. I keep my copy in the front pouch of my kangaroo for easy access.)
Ariona –
I’m really grateful for a book like this. It’s filled with so much information to help me identify the root of the things I struggle with. Admittedly, the bigger things are harder for me to take immediate action, but reading this book makes me feel like there will always be someone in my corner.
Thank you for all your effort and energy you put in this anti-planner.

A really well put together resource. I was pretty blown away by how many sections apply to me right now at this time in my life. And conveniently she offers good sections to pair together and exercises from other sections that could help with any specific problem! The cover is lovely to touch, the paper is HELLA nice quality, and the explanations and introductions are clear and relatable and nonjudgmental.
My only reasons for 4 stars instead of 5:
– pen band is very stretchy, pen keeps flipping around and tugging on things in my bag. I’ll fix this with some nylon.
– paper that is on the inside of the cover is peeling off the corners. I’ll fix it with a strong adhesive.
– I wish there were more pages of blank exercises!! But I know that can’t be helped, the page limit was reached. 🙁
Super excited. Bought one for my partner too and we’re excitedly walking through it together and I think it’ll help with accountability. Thank you for making such a wonderful resource.

I cried when I read this because I’ve never seen my experience captured so thoroughly and compassionately anywhere before. This book has already changed my life for the better.
Maria Isabel –
This is an excelent book. I can feel identified with most of the sections and it is great to either validate the techniques you have tried to overcome the difficulties that arise or find new techniques. Thanks for creating this.

OMG! OMG! OMG! THE BOOK CAME EARLY! I thought it was going to be shipped in December! THANK YOU!!! I rushed home during my lunch break to grab it before any porch pirates found it. Needless to say, I got absolutely nothing done at work after that. (sigh) There’s always tomorrow, RIGHT?. I totally love the colors and graphics, each page is eye catching and holds my attention (probably why I didn’t get much work done this afternoon). I can’t wait until I get home to go through it again.

My husband, also ADHD brain, bought this for me after we saw it recommended on the “How to ADHD” YT channel. Of course I didn’t unpack the package for a couple of weeks. And when I did and finished marvelling at the production value and all the illustrations, I put it aside for anothe couple of weeks.
We managed to get some of our sh.t together (you know, the cleaning up after a couple of years you somehow manage sometimes) and I didn’t have a set place for the anti planner and a truckload of guilt for not reading it, so it landed on my desk.
Yesterday I started reading after feeling overwhelmed by a lot of paperwork and by gawd, it instantly helped. I finished writing two invoices AND got othe stuff done. Before lunch. Like, what the heck?!
We’re having trouble finding therapists or coaches for adults with ADHD in Germany. While nothing replaces a good therapist, I know this anti planner will help me stay afloat and manage my ADHD way better than I did the last 37 years with only youtube to help me.
The Anti Planner now has a set place on the living room coffetable.
If you’re reading this and wondering if this anti planner can help you – I don’t know you, but I’m calling this little wonderbook my pocket emergency therapist replacement for when “there are no fan blades vast enough for the excrement to strike”. It’s a life saver and an interesting, educating and funny read during my morning coffee.
Thank you so, so, so much for making this!!

OMG! You NEED this book!
I just got it yesterday and I’ve already (finally) learned what people mean when they say prioritise.
I’ve shown it to my friends (some of whom are struggling with OCD, depression, burnout, or anxiety) and they’ve all learnt something from it and have asked to borrow it.
I’m planning to show it to my therapist and university student help office.
This book is going to change so many lives including yours!

In true ADHD fashion, I put this book in one of my office drawers and completely forgot it existed. That was, until I was feeling very overwhelmed from work and I remembered awesome past me thought of moments like these and bought the anti-planner. I started flipping through the sections until I found exactly what I needed. Man, I’ve never felt so called out in my life. I LOVE it. Thank you Dani for making this book, not only it’s fun and it makes me feel understood, but it provides alternatives and nonstandard solutions. Now I can’t wait to decorate my office with your posters.
Jennifer Rios –
Awesome book! I’d like to share a suggestion for those who want to keep reusing the activity pages: buy transparent sticky notes. You can buy large ones from Amazon (6×8 inch size recommended). Simply place one over an activity page, write in pencil (recommended) or pen, then simply remove the sticky note when you’re done. You’ll have nice clean pages to use over and over again!
Cyndy Bakke –
Dani-this anti-planner is the exact thing I needed, and then some! I am a planner addict who is paralyzed by gleaming clean pages and hate to somehow mar the beauty of unlimited potential-and you totally got that out of the way from the get go! So many great ideas! But more than that I HEAR you in my head reading them to me, and feel like you and all the others like us who watch/listen to/read your content are right there with me. Sometimes enough to fool myself that we’re body doubling 🙂 There are no words for how much I appreciate you and all you do and all you ARE. You are a ray of sunlight and sense shining through the brain fog. I bought a 2nd copy to give as a gift already, and plan to buy more. I’m also going to buy extra copies of some of the pages. Again-thank you from the bottom of my ADHD heart! To anyone wondering if it’s worth the price or if you REALLY need yet another planner/book/splurge on yourself when you have so much else to do/pay for/take care of- DO.IT. It’s not worth its weight in gold or anything, though; it’s worth YOUR weight in gold! This thing is full of games, info, and strategies, but really is a game and LIFE changer. 11/10 would recommend and WILL buy again!

I was recently introduced to this planner through an ADHD management and skills teaching group! It took under a minute to realize I had never seen a planner like this before. ADHD is a new subject that has come into my life (at 34 years old), but I really think that The Anti-Planner is going to be extremely helpful for me. I just put in my pre-order and I cannot WAIT to have this planner in my possession.
Thank you Dani and all those included in the creation of The Anti-Planner!!

This book is really solid and I find myself reaching for it in the moment which is exactly what I think the point is. Dani did a good job at creating something for people who get Icked out by too much positivity verbiage.
Al –
First of all, I love the way this books feels. The soft cover. The shiny illustrations on it. The size and weight that allows me to hug it comfortably (sometimes I find doing that to be oddly reassuring). The high quality of the paper stock and the colour printing. The nice, fresh smell of the pages.
I love the cute illustrations. I love how casual Dani is when she wrote this, like she is talking directly to us.
To be honest, I haven’t done a lot of the exercises in the book. That’s because when I am feeling any of the things mentioned in it, often I just have to open it to that section and read a few pages and I’d feel more motivated already. I have spent years and years looking for ways to fight my procrastination, and I suddenly realised maybe it’s not another new method that I am looking for. Maybe I already have a lot of tools, I just didn’t have the strength to use them. And strangely this book seems to give me that. I think it’s just how Dani gets it. When the book is there I feel like there is a friend who actually understands the struggles I am going through, who won’t judge me on my issues, and who would always encourage me to keep going. That means a lot to me.
I am definitely not saying the exercises aren’t helpful! I think I might take some of them and modify them to fit me better. I definitely think they will help a lot of people. I guess I just want to say that for me, this book carries a kind of magic that goes beyond the content! Dani, I hope you are reading this and feeling proud of your work 🙂

Earlier this year I was genuinely on the verge of burnout, or perhaps actually was burnt out. I had inklings that I had adhd for a while, but I didn’t actually get diagnosed until about 2 years ago. I feel like I’ve struggled with procrastination and perfectionism and the anxiety from those for a long time. Measuring my worth by my productivity is something I’ve unconsciously done for a long time without even realizing it. When I was feeling so down, I ended up going down a bit of a rabbit hole trying to actually understand more about adhd and trying to work with my brain instead of fighting it. This book was something that came up when I was looking into everything and I immediately ordered one. It just arrived last week and I honestly have never felt more validated and understood in my life. I’ve already been able to incorporate some of the ideas from this book into my life and I really do feel like this book will be a tool I will turn to many times in the future. Every time I pick it up I feel like I learn something new and it is just such an amazing resource that is very thoughtfully put together, and the best part is that it doesn’t have the typical productivity bs that you likely have heard many times before. Everyone I have shown it to thus far has wanted one for themselves too! I highly recommend giving this a try!

Omg this is such a blessing. My adhd has been on 1000 since working and starting nursing school! Listen, I need you to know how incredible this book is…
I’m in my 40s. I’ve known about my ADHD since I was 10. School and employment have always been tough, but I’ve had a stable job for ~16 years or so. I’ve been struggling more than ever with productivity and motivation (both work & personal) since before COVID, and it’s only ever gotten worse. In fact, I should be working right now, but I digress…
I picked up this book and started reading at the shoutouts before pg1. By the time I got through the Table of Contents, I had already gotten choked up and teary no less than 6 times. Zero hyperbole. Never in my life, have I ever felt so thoroughly and unquestionably UNDERSTOOD.
Dani gets it. She knows how this goes. She preemptively calls us out on our BS. She actively overcomes the objections she knows we will have. She has poured her heart and soul into this book, for the benefit of all of us, neurodiverse and neurotypicals alike, and the effort has certainly not gone unnoticed. This whole thing is so unrelentingly and unapologetically thoughtful. I tear up almost every time I read even a fraction of it. I get motivated by just reading through this. I’ve gotten more work done in the past 2 days than I have in the past few weeks…
I guess I don’t have a real conclusion lined up for this. And I realize (and hope you do too) that not everybody will get so emotional from this book – I’ve been particularly sensitive lately for some reason. But if you suffer from procrastination, executive dysfunction, or perfectionism, and/or if you’re feeling lost, stuck, overwhelmed, unmotivated, alone… this book may just help you get your spark back, and I’d say it’s got a much better chance than most.
Now that I feel like I’ve greatly (and quite typically) overshared, I almost deleted all of this. But I think I’ll let it stay. Maybe it will speak to someone else out there who really could use a lifeline right now.
Annie (verified owner) –
This book is AMAZING!!! I’ve been creating systems/games for productivity my whole life and I can’t wait to add all of these to the rotation. The quality of the book itself great, and the amount of time & effort put into this book is well worth the $50. Can’t wait to get started!

Received the book just in time for summer. I’m very excited to have it now since I’m also in therapy. Ms. Donavan compiled a high quality resource guide I fully intend to expand upon as my sessions continue. Previously I would read and compile the resources into a word doc before abandoning it. Now I have a physical resource I’m more inclined to retain and refer back to. The activation energy I needed. Each “unit” and subsection has a brief intro page with Ms. Donovan’s relatable experiences, area for reframing/thought, and applicable resources. It is a very easy read. More templates would have been appreciated, but nothing a photo copier can’t fix. I spent two days marking the book and adding post-it’s to the exercises that feel most compatible to me. So far, there have been positive changes in my work and personal life. I would highly recommend the “Anti-Planner” to folks with or without ADHD. It’a a great stepping stone.
Other notes: It is indeed left-handed friendly. When the book is flipped 360 degrees the spine extends upward about 2-3 stacked quarters. The spine rings are thick enough and placed close enough they don’t bite too terribly into the palm or the wrist. Very possible to have neat/legible handwriting along the left margin.
It has a thick hardcover (similar to the old high school hardcover textbooks). I suspect the gold graphics on the cover is embossed so it should withstand 2-3 years of heavy abuse before fading/chipping away. The tabs for each “unit” or “section” is spaced well enough for chunky fingers to grab a hold of and flip through. There was some resistance when trying to flip the tabs rapidly, but I haven’t had it long enough to see if the rings will tear along the hole punches. Each page is made of thick high quality paper. Not at all like the copy papers from Costco or Staples.
Craig Shackleton –
Just got this yesterday, one for me, one for each of my daughters, a gift from my amazing wife. Everything I’ve seen resonates with all the work I’ve been doing, and I appreciate the reminders of that and the tools for moving forward when I’m stuck. Can’t wait to wipe my greasy pizza fingers on it.
B (verified owner) –
My only complaint is I wish this came with a giant stack of blank pages and templates so I can do the activities over and over (nothing a notebook can’t fix). This was well worth the wait and the pre-order, and both my partner and I are already using it to help “troubleshoot” the cycles we get stuck in with our ADHD and to guide ourselves out when our executive function just isn’t good enough to figure things out on our own. I love it, i love that it exists, and while not every exercise will work for each of us, there are so many options to flip through (and guiding prompts to help filter!) that there’s always something to try
In time we might pick up a second copy so we can each have one but for now it’s going to live in the office with a blank notebook next to it so we can both find and use it as we need
Whitney T –
Just got the Anti-Planner. No joke, I read the beginning and started to tear up. I already know this is a godsend for me.
I have tried some of the activities and skills and it’s worked amazing for me so far! Obviously not every single thing will work for me but that’s what the books for. If you struggle to get things done, I HIGHLY recommend you think about getting this book. It may be expensive to a broke student (like me :’> ) but it is SO worth it.
Thank you Dani for creating this book. I will be forever grateful <3

This is a lifesaver! I love it so much that I ordered another one for my mom, who struggles with many of the same things I do. I love how it’s divided up by feeling, and the casual irreverence of the language makes it feel less intimidating to use. Now if only I could actually remember to pull it out of my work bag more often…

I got my Anti-Planner yesterday and love it already! It’s helped me work through some roadblocks I’ve had about getting back into a healthy routine. My parents are also looking to purchase their own now that they’ve seen mine!

Received this as a gift and have absolutely loved it. The worksheets are extremely helpful and engaging, which is very hard to find. The book is a perfect demonstration of how to create for the ADHD brain. From the color pallet to the footnotes, everything is tailor made to make my brain a little more streamlined.
The author clearly knows her audience, as evidenced by the absolute spot on accusations she makes of the reader (like the anxiety of messing up a page and the unwillingness I feel about tearing something out or writing directly in the book). While I have a moment of feeling absolutely called out, it’s immediately replaced by feeling seen and understood.
This is a must have for the ADHDer in your life.
Pamela Eaton –
Fun pictures, fun activities to do that can help you get things done. Multiple ways to do things so if one method doesn’t work you can scrap it and try and different one. Everyone is different so there’s something for everyone. No square pegs and square holes only here. Every exersize does something different. Some I had heard of before. Most I had never imagined. Very well put together. Good paper and good solid construction too!

Hi Dani! I got my anti-planner yesterday and LOVE IT and have already busted through 2 sets of tasks I’ve been avoiding thanks to the timer exercise! I wanted to give you some feedback that unfortunately mine came with a noticeable unpleasant odor that makes it impossible to keep in the office while I work.. maybe due to the printing process or ink? I am also 13 weeks pregnant so definitely still have a bloodhound nose and was always sensitive to smells (like many of us with ADHD). Going to let it air out outside maybe but please let me know if you have suggestions or maybe I just got a bad book! Congrats on the release and THANK YOU for such an amazing resource!!!!
Rachel Straker (verified owner) –
This is like the Swiss army knife of procrastination-busting strategy guides and will provide support and solutions for whatever is standing in the way of you getting the “thing” done!
The best thing… it never runs out! You only have to buy it once and its contents will serve you forever. Well worth the money!
What I love the most is the way it’s laid out. You don’t need to read the whole thing before you know what strategy to try, you just need to know how you are feeling about the “thing” you’re trying to get done and jump straight to that section for relevant solutions.
There’s sections for if you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disorganised, unmotivated or discouraged and within those sections you’ll find suggested solutions based on the main drivers of that feeling. For example, the “overwhelmed” section has sub-sections for if you feel “intimidated”, “over-committed”, “panicked” and “burnt-out”.
There’s also a bonus section at the end that has a list of further helpful resources which are laid out in the same way as the other sections in the guide, by how you are feeling!
It’s comprehensive without being overly complex and is so easy to use and filled with relatable advice from Dani. Finally, and most importantly, this is for anyone who struggles with procrastination, not just those with adhd!

My copy of The Anti-Planner arrived today. Wow. I have SO MUCH sh*t that needs to be done, and am not getting it done. I am extremely good at plans, planners, calendars, analysis, and the whole range of conventional Planner tools & skills… and The Anti-Planner takes a whole different approach. VERY STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!!

Wow! This book is so good. It feels like it was written specifically to address all of my biggest personal challenges. And does it in a way that keeps those challenges in mind. It is visually appealing, bite size exercises that are organized in a manner that you can quickly find what you need in your context. The writing style makes it feel like you have a great friend sitting with you just trying to help you out without judgement. It’s also really funny…both the writing and the cartoons. Well worth the wait. I love this book. Absolutely astounding job on this, Dani!
Vanessa Marzetz (verified owner) –
This book is really good, so well done, with lots of details. You can see how much work and passion Dani put in it!
What I especially like is the examples and “side-notes” in brackets. It is like the book comes to life and becomes my friend to help me out, understand me and is kind to me, even though I am not kind to myself.
I am in the finishing phase of my PhD (and all these feelings alternate over time, sometimes within a day) and this book as a resources helps me to structure my work, stay focused, and I am less likely to procrastinate.
Highly recommend it for everyone, especially academics!

This book is honestly changing my life. I cried the first time I read through it. Soooo appreciative of this resource and the clearly very hard work Dani did!

I am so grateful to have this resource. I keep it with my work stuff and it’s helped me so much to flip through a section when I get stuck, or am overwhelmed or am just not doing what I need to do. Dani’s cartoons are fun and the content is well researched and spot on. I’m not diagnosed as ADHD but I have a lot of trouble with attention and focus and this book is helping me keep pace with my coworkers. I’m so grateful I have this and I highly recommend it to anyone who struggles to get their stuff done.

For a long time, I’ve been meaning to make a little cheat sheet of different methods I know to deal with various difficulties I encounter. This book is that list, on steroids, and much more, crafted with Dani’s signature combination of care, creativity, knowledge, realism, and optimism. You don’t have to sit down and read a bunch to start to use it. It’s designed to be used in the moment of struggle, whatever that struggle may be, to help you find just the kind of exercise or activity you need. I’ve used it several times in the first week, for both myself and my daughter, to great effect. I’m gobsmacked by what you’ve created here, Dani, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Thank you!

EVERY FREELANCER SHOULD HAVE A COPY OF THIS. Sorry for shouting but it’s TRUE.

Worth the wait! The book is beautiful, nice thick pages, the large wire binding makes it easy to flip to the activity you want without bending the pages, getting stuck or falling out.
The layout is easy to follow and most of the font is a good size with good contrast, there are some pages with a smaller, finer font that could be a challenge to someone with visual impairments.
There is great advice, motivation and humor on every page which are also covered in amazing artwork. As I’ve flipped through the book I’ve had a million “exactly” moments where Dani has presented an all too true and too common issue, comment, feeling or challenge that I’ve personally experienced and her activities, words of wisdom and personal truths make me feel “heard”. Having the book and knowing that it sold out kind of makes me feel like I’m part of a secret nerodivergent club of people who “get it”.
Thank you Dani for all the hard work, heart and soul you put into this book for us. You rock!

This is a great resource and is so helpful! I had also forgotten about ordering it and it’s been awesome!
Samantha Kelley (verified owner) –
Absolutely fantastic book of help with getting things to my Done column and not feeling crappy about it. Lovely art and motivation sprinkled through the book with bright colors and handy tasks. It’s beautifully bound with great quality of paper and cover, even a place to slot my pen in. It looks good sitting out on my table to remind me that I can do it.
Only tiny thing is that the “Stuck” first category has the tab partway through the chapter instead of at the beginning like the others. Drives me a bit mad but I’ll get over it!

This is AMAZING!! I work with college students, mainly those that have ADHD, on study strategies/time management/etc. and this book is a gold mine of resources and strategies that are going to help students SO much! I also have ADHD and am very excited to use the book as a personal resource as well 🙂
Natalie –
I pre-ordered this awhile ago for myself and my daughter who both struggle with ADHD. The exercises are useful and non-judgemental, without the whole “just do it” vibe that most planners give off. Designed for those of us who often get in our own way of getting things done or getting through things. Highly recommend!
allison (verified owner) –
i’ll admit, in classic adhd fashion, i had forgotten about pre-ordering this and when it came it had been long enough that i wasn’t super excited about it anymore lolol. HOWEVER, upon actually opening it and doing the activities, i got stoked all over again. it’s so fun and engaging, and the activities make me feel like someone understands exactly how my brain works which is just sooo affirming ????
to dani, thank you so much for all of the energy and labor you put into this ????
to everyone wondering if it’s worth it, it is. get it.

I came upon the Anti-Planner because of a Youtuber’s review. I bought it immediately for someone close to me as a Holiday gift. They loved it and have been using it since it arrived. It is a little bigger than expected, but it did not disappoint. The exercises, tips, and recommendations are genuinely made to address the needs of those of us that struggle daily to survive and keep up with responsibilities. English is our second language yet the book is written in English simple enough to follow. I’m going to buy more copies from the pre-order for myself and for other people in my life that are either neurodivergent and/or suffer from anxiety and depression. If this book was in Spanish I would definitely recommend it to more people closer to me.

This is so exciting! I completely forgot that I pre-ordered this and it was truly a lovely surprise. I texted family and friends asking who got it for me ????????♀️ I love it!

Just received my book and I ripped it open immediately! It is absolutely gorgeous–I love the illustrations, the mantras/inspiration sprinkled throughout, and it is all so relevant and ORGANIZED! A breeze to find just the activity page I need at the moment, and a pleasure to flip through–chock full of fun ideas. Best ADHD self-help book (workbook?) hands down!

So excited and I just can’t hide it! I picked up my book yesterday from the post office on my way to work. I immediately opened it and started showing it off to a coworker. I’m really looking forward to going through it more and continue to recommend to others.
Fernanda (verified owner) –
my book just arrived and it’s incredible!
I don’t have much to say other than what has already been said in other comments, I just wanted to thank Dani Donovan and everyone who participated in the production of this book. You guys did an amazing job!

If you think this book will help you or someone you love even a little bit, buy this book. I have been showing it to everyone with eyes and they have all been so impressed (including my therapist) with the density of helpful information. This book made me realize that I wasn’t alone. That I didn’t have to fight so hard. BUY THIS BOOK. Not that you need my permission, but you are allowed to ask for help. BUY. THIS. BOOK.

My Anti-Planner arrived yesterday and I am smitten!! I wish the second round would be available sooner so I could recommend my students buy one for us to use for class this semester. I’m telling everyone about it anyway!
Alexander Wright –
Just what I needed! I bought this for Christmas for myself, and I have never been more pleased with a gift. Ok, almost never.
The artwork is amazing and the guidance will be with me always.
The ring binder format is perfect, and allows you to fold the book in half so it take up less space. I love it. Thank you Dani. xxx
Cullen Zanone –
Finally revived my ADHD Planner in the mail today. I am so happy. This was a birthday present. My birthday happens to be in July. I will love this item forever and ever. Thank you Dani Donovan. When I get my own bookcase, this ADHD Planner will be on an easel on the top shelf. Thanks again Dani. God Bless.
Lizzy (verified owner) –
I absolutely love this book, I am so excited to use this and be able to help my brain out a bit more in times of need. I did not expect it to be as big as it was and that just made me even more excited. My only worry is that I’m going to rip the tabs on accident! Paper tabs always worry me because they always tend to get ruined, luckily tape exists. Other than that I positivley love it and cannot wait to try out some of the activities!
Samantha (verified owner) –
I have been struggling with getting stuff done and having a hard time focusing (more so than normal). This book arrived right on time. I’ve never felt so understood before especially by a book. The different ways to do things make tasks fun. If something doesn’t work, I jump to the next task. I feel so much better knowing I have this as an essential tool in my toolbox.
MK Arch (verified owner) –
This is incredible. I have never ever felt so seen and validated by a book. I have always been ashamed of my inability to make my brain do the thing. This book flips that on its head. I am excited to put these strategies into practice.
Jac (verified owner) –
This book is amazing. It has SO many different exercises that whatever is happening I can find something to match. What I love is that they break down into specific overall categories and sub categories so you can clearly head to what you need. I cannot recommend this enough.
Jessie –
I thought the price was kinda high, but I was desperate & thought this sounded like it would actually be helpful. This book turned out to be worth the cost just by the quality alone, and the content goes above and beyond my expectations. It’s massive so I’ll (hopefully) never lose it, it feels amazing in my hands (sensory issues are unbothered!), and the information & activities inside are encouraging, inspiring, & helpful for my adhd brain without giving dumb advice or being cliche. It’s un-intimidating and user-friendly, and I’m glad this is out there for adults who struggle with getting sh*t done.
Cat (verified owner) –
This book is AMAZING!! I cannot stop picking it up and just browsing the sections… it’s so big that I literally seem to see something new every time! There is SO much in here, explanations, advice, ideas, excellent examples, drawings/comics – and all organized and easy to navigate. Dani’s intros to every section are written like I am just getting together with a really great friend who just GETS me, knows how my brain works, and wants me to know everything is going to be okay 🙂
Thank you so much for this book!! It is officially my favorite ADHD toolbox <3 <3
Sandi (verified owner) –
Love this! So creative and practical and fun. Such a great tool for getting in-stuck in a low stress way.
Steve (verified owner) –
Superb!
Dani describes ways to deal with perfectionism in the book, but the end result looks pretty perfectionistic to me! The whole book is well designed and excellent quality — it feels good, smells good, looks good, and sounds good as you flip the pages. (I didn’t taste it and don’t recommend that either.) Oh, the content and drawings are great too!
Thanks Dani!
Ellysa –
I pre-ordered with hope that this would be a little bit better than the other 10+ planners I’ve tried and failed at keeping up with. WOW was I wrong! Event the word “planner” being in the title doesn’t do this book justice. It’s not a planner at all. It’s an extremely specific, thorough, easy-to-do guide to dealing with the feelings that procrastination tries to hide. I’ve already been able to work through emotions that try to block me from doing certain tasks. This is the ONLY thing that has ever helped me overcome those barriers.
I love how it starts by identifying the big emotion (Stuck, Disorganized, Discouraged, etc) and then breaks it down into more specific sub-emotions to find the excercise that would work best in that instance. I also like how there are suggestions of other pages from different sections you might like based on that emotion. As an AUdhder, it can be difficult to narrow down on what my emotions actually are, so these links to different sections in the book can help me find what actually will help in that moment.
I hope one day there can be a companion PDF of the worksheets that I can import into GoodNotes or print out so I can keep filling in those pages after I fill them up! For now, I’ll just be erasing which is fine, but would love to be able to order a companion pdf version.
Thank you Dani, and keep creating!!

I preorderd this with low expectations, I’ve struggled with planners and really anything tat helps structure my days. This book has blown my expectations out of the water. First of all, it’s huge, so much bigger than I ever expected, there’s so much helpful information in it. Secondly, the way the Anti-Planner works makes so much sense to my ADHD brain, it’s like dropdown menus that send you to several methods to help get yourself on your way with whatever “thing” you may be trying to work on. I’m so excited to implement some of the tips and tricks into my daily life. I highly recommend this for anyone who thinks they’ve tried everything to help manage their ADHD or any other struggles you may have getting organized.
Hannah Adams –
I love the Anti-Planner!!! I got it about a week ago and it has been so helpful for so many things. Thanks Dani!!!!
Dan –
Just what I need. I was a bit worried that it would be another great but unread book lying in the bookshelf gathering dust… yes, I will clean anytime soon now.
But after starting reading, restlessly skipping a few pages, I found page 13: “How to use the Anti-Planner”. Reading that page made it clear to me that this is exactly what I need. And yes, It has already been helpful !!!
After just two days it has already helped my get some sh*t done !!!
Clau (verified owner) –
It’s a beefy boi and I love it!
I expected a much smaller book, this beefy boi feels like it will survive with me whatever life throws at us. ????
Brenda –
Love, love, love it!!! I feel so seen.
Sarah –
Just go ahead and order it – It’s as or more amazing than you think! You know you love and identify with her work already – so what’s not to like about more and more helpful?!
Melissa Mudd –
This book just arrived today, and HOLY SCHMIP it’s freaking AMAZING!!!! I ordered three copies originally (one for me, one for my kids to share, and one for a friend), but I’m thinking it’s highly likely my kids won’t want to share it—and I may also need one for my classroom. Dani Donovan has knocked this ***out of the park.***
If you’re still on the fence, I only have one question: can you order from there? If not, you need to get down and move closer to your WiFi router.
Well done, Ms. Donovan! This book KICKS. ASS. (And thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!!)
beatrice –
i love it thanks so much! Lots of exercises remind me of the homework my adhd therapist gave me and I -of course- totally forgot about! Now i got an amazing ressource to go back to!

This is amazing. Like truly a work of art and it’s totally going to help me. Thanks so much.
Susete Alves Carvalho –
I finally received it! I’m so happy, it’s beautiful! Thank you for your hard work Dani.

I expected a cute collection of useful tips. This is a thing of heft and weight and beauty, crammed with useful strategies.
Natalie Jaramillo (verified owner) –
I’ve only had it for a day and already love it soo much! It is beautifully made impressed by the overall look and nice written too, definitely worth the money
Another Dani –
True to form, object permanence allowed this book’s arrival to be a surprise, and a welcome one. The pdfs were great, but this book in print is… everything. It’s my new “break glass in case of emergency” go to, and has already averted one adhd-fuelled meltdown in the 6 hours I’ve had it. The hard copy will live within reach until this (very sturdy, and thank you, spiral bound!!) spine gives way, and then some. From the moment I read the “your worth is not measured in productivity” / “you are not fucking lazy” in the intro, I knew I’d chosen the right thing for me and my journey. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Christine Garrity (verified owner) –
I just received my Anti-Planner today and WOW! The quality and attention to detail and design is incredible! Dani- we know it was a long and arduous journey to get these into our hands, your hard work was worth it!! I can’t wait to start using these strategies! 🙂
Brook Packard (verified owner) –
Our new “coffee table” book so we don’t lose it. No one in the family is neurotypical. Thanks to Dani’s insights and strategies we are learning to make friends with “the thing”. Looking forward to when the the exercises/practices are available as individual PDFs.

It’s amazing

Absolutely amazing – I love the anti planner so much!! I normally can’t focus enough to read books but this has my interest, it’s so well put together and satisfying to read and look at. I’m excited to try to get things done with the help of the anti planner and I’d definitely recommend!
Amanda –
I got my copy in the mail yesterday, and spent about half the day flipping through it, and the other half of the day finally knocking out a bunch of cleaning I’d been putting off! I’ve had it for less than 24 hours, and it’s already helping me – I’m so glad I preordered this last year, l can safely say it was worth the wait!!
Kathryn M. (verified owner) –
I received my Anti-Planner yesterday, and I’ve flipped through it a few times (plus I’ve used the previews I’ve been emailed) only to find I love it even more than I expected. I ADORE the notes about laziness and productivity being constructs and that they do not define our worth. EVERYONE needs that reminder, I think, but those of us who struggle with those things need it even more. It was worth the 13-month wait. I’d love to, in the future, have a digital version I could use on my iPad. I’ve imported the preview pages, but I’d love to have everything there for me to use and reuse as needed. 🙂
Samira (verified owner) –
So cool. Bought as a present for my ADHD husband but I kind of want to use it instead 🙂
For real though, looking through it, I saw so many exercises that look like they were created specifically for him. So many unique and creative ways to get things done without adding to the guilt or negative self-talk. I also really like how it’s organized by mood – so he can access different tools based on what type of barrier is in the way.
And last but def not least, it’s beautiful! And feels very sturdy and well made. My only request is…. please make one for kids next????
Anti Planner –
Thank you so much Samira! A “family” version is in the works!
Kristen –
This!!! This is the anti planner the 4 people in my house who were late diagnosed with ADHD needed. Thank you Dani for *seeing* them and managing to follow through on creating a true gift for those whose brains work differently and who need to create their own ‘users manual’ ????????????????
CypherS –
One of useful books you did not know you needed.
That’s an impressive accomplishement for the author.
Mira –
Just got mine! Before it arrived, I was using the pages she sent weekly and they’ve been lifesavers. It’s well thought out and an absolute guilt-free assistant in your daily life. If you struggle with doing even the smallest things, this book can help and give you some direction.
Laura G (verified owner) –
So I didn’t realise I’d got this early, but thank goodness I did! Yes it took me a bit to actually open it, because, you know, adhd. But now I have it’s incredibly accessible and at a time when I’ve really been struggling it is really helping me to make small but impactful changes. It’s so obvious Dani knows their stuff, we knew that, but the spot on detail is so good, like I love it being nice paper to write on, not overwhelming in detail, easy to flick between sections…I could go on, but if you’re thinking of buying this but are worried it’ll fail like others before, I really would say it’s worth a try. Hope it keeps working, that’s often the worry, but it’s so much better than I was atm at least.

I am a successful project manager – have been for 20+ years. So I know how to get stuff done. Or should do. I also have an ADHD diagnosis. The pre-order perks have been really useful but the book has now arrived and it is amazing. Except I don’t want to spoil it with my scrawl. So I might need to buy another copy. And yes I know it says use erasable pens (which disappear completely if you put a book in the freezer – don’t ask me how i know that) but as much as a its a useful tool its also a work of art
Melanie Chandler –
OMG!!! I love this planner. Dani has made those tasks that seem so daunting seem more manageable and enjoyable. The games the illustrations help keep the mind focused on the tasks at hand. Not only are these useful for me personally but I can use these techniques within my department to motivate coworkers and processes.
Jen Aliff –
This book is amazing! So lucky to have gotten a sneak peek through my co-parent and find something I can use as a resource because planners have never done anything for me. It made me laugh, feel seen, and gives some amazing tips that actually help me do “the Thing.
doismellburning –
My Anti-Planner arrived and it is a thing of beauty. Opening with the essential reminder that *your worth is not measured in productivity*, it’s packed full of excellent tips and tricks, entertainment and insights – all beautifully laid out, illustrated, and assembled!
Toni –
I have never felt so understood, this book is life-changing. The activities and advice inside is entertaining and sometimes a little bizarre, which is exactly the kind of approach I need to get things done. It does away with the usual productivity clichés (which I know I’ve tried so many times and never work!) as well as no guilt or judgement which is so refreshing. This is a rare gem of a book that is actually works and so I genuinely cannot recommend this enough!
Toby (verified owner) –
I got my copy today and, oh my god, what an incredible book. I’m not kidding, seeing ‘The Thing’ depicted as a cute little creature who needs me to get it to Done, as opposed to something that is painfully oppressing me – I think it was life-changing, actually. I’ve never been able to think of it that way before. And that, along with the ‘overwhelmed’ section, helped me to complete a really emotionally draining task that I’d been putting off for months.
I also have a manageable plan to do some cleaning tomorrow, using the amazing speed cleaning technique. I’m almost looking forward to it!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making this fantastic resource. I know it’s going to help so many people and I hope you’re incredibly proud of what you’ve achieved.
Anna Bee –
This book is so gorgeous and helpful and I love it! I’m recommending it to everyone I know!
